My son was born at 7lbs 7 oz and started wearing onsies that were 0-3 when he was about 5 weeks old and 0-3 pants when he was 11 weeks. He has a very skinny waist and short legs.
Edit: she will grow into them. They are made very big. My son could never fill them right. He could length wise.

My daughter was 8 lb 9 oz at birth and was in 0-3 within a week. All babies are different sizes. I wouldn’t worry. The important thing is that she gains weight and is healthy. Be HAPPY the clothes are lasting you longer. By 6 weeks my daughter was in 3-6 month clothes and I felt like all her 0-3 went to waste.

My baby was the 6lbs 6oz at birth. She was still in her NB clothes for about 6-8 weeks. It depends on the outfit. She starting regularly wearing 0-3 when she was about 1.5 months old, by two months she was in 0-3 and out of NB. Now my little girl isn’t so little anymore, she was 14.8 at her 4 months and has some cheekers on her now. They are so cute.

Just because the label on the clothes say one thing- doesn’t mean it holds true for all babies.
My son is 10.5 months and has outgrown the majority of his 6-12 month clothes. He’s only around 18 piunds or so- but he’s taller.
Plus, they’re clothes are always too big or too small. They only fir perfect in this small little time frame window- because they grow like weeds.
Just remember to buy clothes big. You’ll regret it otherwise and spend A LOT of $$

My son was 6 lb 15 oz at birth, was up to 8lb 2 oz at 2 weeks, but he still wore newbron clothes for some time. And, different brands/patterns of baby clothes fit so differently, its hard to go by tag size. If she’s happy and gaining weight do not worry.

my son is 9 months old and weighs 20 lbs and he is very tall for his age. He has a few onsies that say “newborn 5-8lbs” that he is just now outgrowing. The sizes are very strange on a lot of baby clothes.
my son was 7lbs 9 1/2 oz at birth and we had to get the smallest clothes we could find (that weren’t premie) and they were still usually big.
Try Sears the newborn sized sleepers fit him from the start. Also walmart has gerber onsies that come in a pack of 3 that also fit him pretty well from the start.
Whatever you end up with remember she will grow out of everything before you know it so if everything is a little big right now wait a couple weeks and it will fit her great! haha

Don’t rush it. You’ll probably cry like I did when I realized my daughter had outgrown all her newborn stuff.
Chloe was wearing preemie until she was 4 weeks old. (preemie pants until she was 12 weeks!)
Now at 5 months she’s still wears 0-3. LOL. The only thing she wears that are 3-6 months are her footed pjs.

My son was 5lbs 8 ozs at birth and had to wear preemie clothing for 2 weeks…then he was in newborn for another 2 weeks or so. He started 0-3 around week 5 and that is when he started outgrowing everything. He is now 8 months and wears 12 month clothes and even 18 months in some brands. She will start growing into them so fast you’ll have to buy bigger sizes before you know it!

My Daughter was 7-7 at birth and is 2 months old now and wears 3 months, she was out of newborn by 3 weeks old. She is a long baby 23inches. Some cloths hang of her but others are snug, i find it depends on the brand.

around 8 weeks old i started putting him in 0-3..they were a little big but he grew in them fast
Give your answer to this question below!
She will grow just give her time.. no big deal.. my first grand d.. weighed about 5 lbs.. now she is 11.. she wore small clothes for the longest..Your babe is gonna be a little petite girl which you should be grateful..at least your babe is doing good…. so quit worrying mama..LOL
my daughter was 3 months before her 0-3 month clothes would fit her and she ws in newborns until then and she 7lbs 5oz at birth.
clothes are all made different some sizes run smaller than others and some way bigger than others.
My little girl was born at 6lb 4oz, and she wore newborn clothes for the first 8 weeks. She wore the one piece outfits even loner because she was short. She’s four months now and I just packed away the two piece outfits in 0-3 months, because the waists were too tight, but she still wears the 0-3 month one piece outfits.
I don’t really remember but it was a few weeks after he was born. It was hard to find clothes that weren’t too big and he was a little over 7lbs when he was born. The sizes in baby clothes are pretty ridiculous imo. My son now wears 9-12 month clothes in some brands and 6-9 in others.
My son was 6lbs 1 oz at birth, he didn’t really start wearing 0-3 months til he was 2 months old and even some of the clothes were still loose on him.
Don’t worry hun..my daughter was 8 lbs 4 oz when born and then lost a pound and couldn’t gain it back for almost 2 months…she was in Newborns for almost 3-4 months.0-3’s fit her until she was 6 months..3-6 until 8 months and then she started to catch up to her size and age. So needless to say, we got our use out of all her clothes…She will be a year here real soon, and she is just now wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She is just a petite lil girl. As long as they continue to grow and thrive and not lose any weight or stop growing, really no reason to be concern.
When my son hit 2 weeks, is when he started 0-3 months! Don’t get bummed out over it okay, she will grow soon enough…then you will be wishing she was so little again!
Both my boys wore 0-3 at birth until just under 2 months when they needed to go to 3-6 months, but my sons are large.
Most babies wear 0-3 month clothes until they are 3 months (12 weeks plus) old. She’s only halfway there.
0-3 months usually fits a 3 month old well, so its normal for them to be too big for a 6 month old. Julienne was born 8 lb 3 oz and 0-3 months was huge on her for a while. Its annoying because onesies are much cuter when they actually fit.
Dont worry, she it’s just on the right size, i wish my baby could enjoy her clothes but she cant because she is growing soo fast!. She was born 8 pounds and now she is 11 pounds and 4 ounces and she’s 23 inches and half. she is wearing 3-6 month clothes.. Like i said before dont worry she is doing just fine.
PS: your baby it’s BEAUTIFUL!!
well my son came out wearing 6-9 months clothes, and hasn’t stopped yet, she will be hitting a growth spurt and then she will probably jump right into wearing 9 months, congrats on the baby girl
