***Connect with me on TWITTER: twitter.com www.hebrewbaby.weebly.com Please join me in my kitchen as I prepare Quinoa milk for my little girl! Some information on Quinoa Called a supergrain, quinoa is highly nutritious and can supply us with all of the body’s requirements: carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Quinoa is gluten free and considered an ideal food for those prone to food allergies. Common allergens include grains from the grass family such as corn and wheat. Quinoa, a leafy grain, is not in the grass family, making it beneficial for people who cannot tolerate common grains like wheat, corn, rye, barley, and oats. Quinoa is considered to contain all the essential amino acids, making it a complete protein. According to the Alternative Field Crops Manual of the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, “Quinoa is a highly nutritious food. The nutritional quality of this crop has been compared to that of dried whole milk by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The protein quality and quantity in quinoa seed is often superior to those of more common cereal grains. Quinoa possesses larger quantities of calcium, fat, iron, phosphorus, and B vitamins than many other grains. One-half cup of cooked quinoa contains 15.5 mg of calcium, compared to 8.5 mg in the same quantity of cooked whole-wheat cereal. The protein content is a whopping 4.1g for that one-half cup of cooked quinoa. Potassium is impressively high

  1. @TaroMjrn Thank you so much for sharing that! I’m going to take a look myself! :-)

  2. @YahwehYahshua777 You should get a soy milk maker. not for making soy milk, but for making your formula. it pretty much does the same thing, but it largely reduces the steps for you. so you could just put the flour and/or other ingredients in and it’ll make the milk for you :) just Google soy milk maker and you should be able to find a good one. good luck with your new baby :)

  3. @SuperROMULAN Thank you very much! I will certainly try this.

  4. @robindameshe Yes, give her small portions at first. And make sure it is a thin enough consistency. Many mothers complain that the babes don’t like it, and I tend to think it’s because the milk is too thick.

  5. Dear beautiful sister,
Instead of boiling the quinoa you should sprout it!

-soak the seeds in spring water for 8 hours
-rinsing thoroughly to ride the enzyme inhibitors
-than sprout for 12 hours, rinsing every 6hours
-add quinoa to blended, spring water, 3-4 dates, some unpasteurized honey & probiotics
    -BLEND
-strain in nut milk bag and serve
now you have Biogenic milk which is very high in all micro nutrients.

    Peace Be With You
    Brother Jeff

  8. is quinoa milk ok for a 4 month old baby digestion wise?

  9. @serenity422 Peace sis, I’m sorry to hear about your situation with depression and your son allergies to the milk. Those are definite allergic symptoms. I have two videos on my channel recommended for babies. The Quinoa milk and then a Vegan Baby/Toddler formula. I have them listed under Welcome to my kitchen playlist or Holistic Child Care playlist. I’ll PM you three vids.

  10. @anualba I have two milks on my channel recommended for babies. The second one is for babies toward the end of their first year because it has more ingredients in it. A child can and will only drink what they have available. If there are no other options, what other choice does the baby have? For your baby’s age…I’d thin the quinoa to a consistency he’s more comfortable with until he is able to drink it. I’d also add Seamoss and bladderwrack for additional minerals.

  11. I am thrilled and elated for this video.. I feel empowered and back on track.. No more can formula.. All natural and wholesome mills for him and us..Thank u again for your time, patience, knowledge and wisdom . I will keep u posted.. Continued blessings to you and your beautiful family

  12. Blessings sis.. I have studied your video over and over again and I am so excited to be making Quiona milk for my son today.. Unfortunately I was unable to breast feed and had to put him on formula.. I choose GoodStart because They said “it is most like breast milk. I was devastated and fell into a mild depression because I know the harm but knew of nothing else.. He is now six months and is eating baby food that I make for him :) He has mild eczema and congestion due to the formula, I believe

What do you recommend? Thank you for your help.

@hebrewbaby Thank you for your response. It really doesn’t feel so much like a journey anymore but a discovery of who I was all along.

  17. @supercar28 Thank you!

  18. @blackpearl19991 I don’t make butter from quinoa. I don’t make butter at all. We use extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil. As a family we’ve used a few of Dr. Sebi’s products…but cannot give you a personal run down on them all. Much info. is available online about his products with many a testimonials included as well. Thanks for sharing and continue on the journey of health!

  19. blackpearl19991

Can you post a video of how to make butter from quinoa and the other grains. I’m on my 4th day of not eating meat. I found Dr. Sebi’s videos and have been listening to them for information only. I really am glad I ran across his videos. They’ve saved me from eating all this junk.
Do you use any of his products besides what you mentioned in the video? If so can you please send me your experience with them? you can email me at blackpearl_1999@yahoo.com.

  20. Your little one is soo cute.

  21. @BlackMenMustDoBetter Thank you for responding!

@metasjodiendo 1. Buy Quinoa from the store ( It is a grain)
    2. She keeps LOTS of it in the house
    3. Rinse the Quinoa well before you cook it. TO get a protective substance off of it. This substance tastes bitter.
    4. She boils one cup of Quinoa & adds HALF of it to the blender with 2 1/2 cups of water
5.Add as much water as you like. Less water = creamy More water= juicier.
She makes it creamy for the baby.
    6. She blends it and pours it into the pitcher.

  23. Thanks for this video! It got a bit hard to undestand for me as I’m not a native English speaker, could someone make a small summary of what she has done? Thanks in advance!
