Consignment sales at churches are usually pretty good – check the classified ads in your paper or Craigslist. If you have a Junior League in your area, see if they have a thrift store, because they don’t sell any junk. Sometimes they have good clothes at Big Lots. I like the overstocks section at www.landsend.com too.

Yard sales in nice neighborhoods, clearance racks at better department stores, sale racks at outlet stores!

Honestly I purchased a lot of my daughters clothes from Target, they have a great selection of clearance clothes and good quality. Walmart is a good place too. You can try children’s second hand shops.

i got all of my baby clothes on sale or second-hand. you can check thrift stores. they have some really nice, hardly even used, clothes for next to nothing. honestly, the baby is only going to fit into each thing for a couple of months, whats the point in spending on each outfit?

I shop at a a baby/children/maternity only 2nd hand clothing store. Also the best thing I have found is to buy things off season on the Wal-Mart clearance racks. I wait until they mark the tops and pants down to and then buy several in the right sizes for the next couple years. Another thing I have done is go yard saleing towards the end of the day when they are closing up, they will usually cut you really good deals on the clothes then because they just want them gone.

Carters makes lines of clothing for Target and Walmart… at Target it’s branded “Just One Year” and at Walmart it’s “Child of Mine”. Both are of similar quality to the regular Carters stuff. The Circo stuff at Target is also cute and fairly durable. Target also sells a line called “Genuine Kids” which is made by Osh Kosh, that’s affordable, super cute and durable.
If you live near a Kohls, they have awesome clearance racks, and frequent sales. Their “Jumping Beans” line is really cute too.
