Where Can I Find A Chart That Tells You What Age To Introduce Baby Foods At?

I want to make sure that I don’t introduce foods that my baby could be allergic to too early. What source do you use or do you know the list of ages and when to introduce foods? I’m going to be starting my little girl to foods in a couple of weeks when she turns 6 months old. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Anything from the American Pediatric Association would be helpful.

A:        The book First Meals by Annabel Karmel is the BEST! It’s all about starting solids of all stages. It is a great book also if you are looking into making your own baby food at home with 100’s of recipes. I wasn’t really thinking about it until I read this book.. homemade purees are easier to do than you think. It has plenty of references with the AAP.

A:     Whatever you do dont go by a Heinz or Gerber one
Not having experience yet, i feel out of place advising, but my plan when my daughter turns 6 months is to feed her fresh veggies, and whatever i am eating. I wouldn’t follow a tabel of advice.
I dont plan on any specific diet, or babies foods, i’ll just see what she likes and doesnt like, and go by that.

A:     The what to expect when youre expecting book is great. It goes through all of that up until the baby is a year old. Then they have a toddler one for after that. I loved those books because they talked about EVERYTHING that could pretty much come up as a parent raising a small child.

A:      I have two kids and for years now I have relied on a program call WIC (women, infants and children) they can help with lots of kid things especially feeding charts they also have personal nutritionist or you could go to the store and look on the back of the box of Gerber baby cereal.

A:      Google the APA. I’m sure they’ll have good tips along with her doctor. It’s always best to consult an expert when it concerns the lively hood of your daughter.
