When Shouldi Start My Daughter She Is 4 Months On Baby Foods?
my baby’s doctor told me to start at four months with rice cereal than with the baby jars.
A: When my daughter was about 5 months, I would give her frozen bagels and unsalted crackers. The stores carry really good Gerber snacks that you can also give her.
I started giving her baby food when she was 6 months. I gave her slices of cheese when she was almost 8 months. At about 10 months I started giving her regular milk.
Always check with her pediatrician first before giving her other foods besides formula or breast milk.
A: Not until 6 mths, she can have cereal at 4 mths b-4 bed is always good.Start first foods at 6 mths.It is better to start w/veggies for a while b-4 introducing fruits. They won’t want the veggies if u start w/fruits.Introduce one thing at a time for 2-3 days b-4 trying something new.
A: ou can start experimenting with stage 1 foods now…..but only a couple of spoonfuls at a time and stick with one food for a week to make sure baby has no adverse reactions to it….at 6 months you can start pushing the solids….cereal or fruit for breakfast, veggie and meat for lunch, and veggie and meat for dinner….close to 7 months, you can move up to the stage 2 “dinners” which is just a bunch of stuff all mixed up together….I don’t know where that person heard to wait until 9 months to start solids, but a child can only thrive on formula/breast milk until 6 months, then they need nutrition from other sources for crawling, cruising, etc….
A: i started both my kids at six months old they have stop they tongue reflex action so they can eat and swallow instead of pushing it with their tongue. it is recommended for six months
A: Your pediatrician will inform you when he thinks your child is ready, usually between 9mos. and 12 mos.
The acids needed to digest solids are not present in the stomach until 9 mos. although a few babies may eat earlier due to excessive spitting up or other medical reasons.
Also, there is a study that indicates that starting foods earlier could lead to being overweight later in life.
A: if she has doubled her weight since she was born go ahead and start.i started to give my daughter rice cereal at 3m and baby food at 4m.
A: I started with rice cereal at three months. And by four months, she was having baby food once a day. By five months, twice a day. That was from the advice of my pediatrician, and it worked out great for us. I think it really depends on the baby, mine was ready. She is 10 months old now, and can eat as much as I do.
Take the pediatricians advice!!!
they say 6 months but i started when my son was 4 months
My daughter was almost 5 months when I started her on baby foods. The best thing to start out with is that baby rice cereal. You can make it really thin for the first few times and then start making it a thicker consistency as baby gets better at eating. Plus rice cereal is the least likely to cause food allergies. After that you can add something else mild, usually applesauce. The Dr.’s like you to stick to the “white” baby foods for awhile, the white rice, applesauce, bananas, mashed potatoes. Although about the bananas, my daughter would get a rash on her face whenever she would eat them and I’ve heard from a couple of other Mom’s this happened with their baby’s too. If this happens, simply stop giving her this and stick with the others. Oh, and once you know your baby can tolerate the applesauce, use it to flavor the rice cereal because it’s pretty bland, but very good for baby’s.
P.S.- In general, pediatrician’s recommend you start baby foods between 4 – 6 months of age. That’s why I picked 5 months, it was right in between what they recommend.
ur doctor should tell u when he/ she thinks ur baby is ready for baby food. they should also tell u when they think u should go 2 the next stage of baby foods, when its ok t2 give them “table food” (the stuff we eat), and so on. i wouldnt start her on baby food till u get the ok from her doctor.
6 months is what doctors recomend now. I started giving my son baby cereal at 5 months. You will be able to tell when she is ready. If she is really interested in what you are eating, and watches you put it in your mouth, she may be ready. But just cereal until at least 6 months. Then you can start to introduce stage 1 fruits and veggies 1 at a time. You need to do one at a time for about 2-3 days each to see if baby has a reaction. My son was allergic to eggplant. His skin turned bright red where ever it touched him. And never start a new food at night. If they have a reaction, you wont know because they will be asleep, and something terrible could happen…
well health centre said they start at 6mths but unless if your baby gets hungry after breast milk and you think she needs food give her food that what i did with my kids i start with one spoon but if they didn’t want it i know they are not ready
6 months , but if you are breastfeeding that is all the baby really needs for the first full year of life.
i think its 6 months
6 months-start with fruits and veggies but make sure you use the same flavor a few days in a row so you can see if she is allergic to any of them.
i think u should start now because my neice started on baby food at 4-5 months and if its on her wic cupon yeah u can but get things that will be light on her stomach
i would start now, or she will just drink too much milk to fill her growing body. she needs vegetables and fruits to grow. milk is ok however later its hard to break them. diluted juice works too
Not until 6 months.
All they need until then is breastmilk or formula.
They aren’t ready to digest solids until around 6 months.
my son is 7 mos and he started on bb foods when he was 3 12 mos with vegies. fruits are more acidic so i started him out with peas
6 months, 5 and below they arnt full devolped for solids.
