A:

they reccomend not giving babies solids until 6 months of age, because the stomach isnt mature enough and can cause food allergies, i thought this was a load of bull and gave my son rice cereal and fruit at the afe of 4 months and he now has alot of food allergies.
Bive the bottle before the food, and only give one or two teaspoons of food at a time as a babies belly isnt very big and cant support the weight well, she may throw up with the weight, if this happens weight a couple of days and try again.
give her, her bottle at the normal times, about 15 mins after her bottle in the morning give her some banana and at night before bed. dont do lunch just yet.
hope this helps.

4 months is a bit young for solids. It is recommended that infants start solids at around 6 months of age. Your baby’s digestive tract cannot properly digest anything other than breastmilk or formula at 4 months of age-

i never gave my kids solid food till 6 months.
my sister started her daughter around 5 months and a bit.
don’t give much food as they only have little tummies.
give her a bottle when she wakes, then some cereal (farex cereal) only a small amount.
bottle mid morning, lunch time bottle and some pured apples or pears.
bottle mid afternoon and dinner a bottle and some farex again or pear or apple.
i’d mix some apple or pear in with the farex too. it takes a bit for them to get used to the chewing action and don’t forget they don’t have teeth or not many of them, so don’t give bread or biscuits just yet.
you can also give a rusk to baby if they are begging to teeth and need to ’scratch their gums’ but always watch your child if you do this, in case of choking. packets of these give you an indication of age appropriateness.
if your on formula look at your container for how much and how many time to give milk, and just see how you go with solids, your baby may only want to eat solids once a day or may want it more.
remember have faith in yourself, mothers know best
