Diapers and Wipes!!!! You can never have too many!
A nice afterthought would be something sweet for your sister. Maybe a favorite treat or new hand lotion. She deserves a gift too.

HOnestly, the best presents that I got were diapers, wipes, butt balm, formula, bottles.. necessities that nobody wants to buy because they’re all obsessed with pink bows and dresses:) lol All the necessities are so expensive and it’s really helpful to have them given as gifts.

Diapers are always a great gift because they will always be used, and can be swapped for the next size if they grow out of that size before the pack is open. Otherwise, they make really cute little bath sets that have shampoo and washcloth and baby bath, get the “soothing” kinds they smell really good. (Lavender and Chamomille is mine and my baby’s fave) Hope this helps!

there are so many cool gifts you can get now, i would suggest a keepsake like the handprint kits, or a blanket with the babies name on it. There are even different kits you can buy and put together for the baby to give it a personal touch.

Nappy Cakes are a good gift….

Theyre not what they sound like though! Just a big pile of baby related gifts all wrapped up to look like a wedding cake.

Wow, I have so many ideas! lol

Bumbo seat…very cool seat designed to let small babies sit with support when they have head control.

For a special gift, you could get something monogrammed with baby’s name.

I love a really nice pacifier clip as a gift. They have really nice silver ones. I just bought a precious one that has a rhinestone princess crown! too cute

Hooded towels, diapers, an outfit in a bigger size for later, etc, etc.

The question is, do you want to get something really useful, or something personal, or a keepsake?

Oh….I have the neatest thing. I’m very sentimental and like keeping things. I got a nice wooden memory box from redenvelope.com. It says “Memories of Motherhood on top. There are compartments inside to put stuff. I have our hospital bracelets, baby’s first hospital shirt, cards, etc in it.

HTH!

  1. just lots of luv…! i can only think of cute baby sets they are the best. sorry not much idea.

  2. Diapers and a home cooked meal!

I had a friend come over with a pack of diapers and a pan of lasanga…it was wonderful!

  3. The good thing about giving baby gifts is that you can either buy what the baby will need immediately like clothes, diapers, bathroom and wash sets, baby feeding sets (bottles, formular, cups plates, sterilizer, pacifiers, teether,) etc.

You may also choose to buy things the baby could use later like a walker, stroller, bouncer, playmats / playpens, educational toys, storybooks, winter clothes, etc.

Other options since its a girl could be jewellery like a necklace with a locket pendant, earrings, finger ring or bracelet.

  4. I think a great gift would be a gift card for a few takout resturants. A new mom does not have time to cook.

Or you could hire a cleaning service for her for a month or to. Until she is able to get used to life with a baby. It is hard to get used to it.

If she has already had the baby, there is a good chance that she already has most everything she needs. One thing I did like getting, was clothing for my daughter when she was older. Over a year. Like 18 months or so.

Also, toys that are meant for a bit older babies. Like 6-9 months.

  5. the one thing I wish I’d gotten when people were gifting us for our baby is one of those carriers you wear like a reversed backpack. The one I got recently is so useful around the house when I need to clean something or otherwise don’t have a free hand to hold my baby when he’s clingy. It’s also useful when I go to the store because I don’t have to juggle a cart and stroller or worry about my baby’s weight tipping the cart.

  6. soon 2 b mommy

tons of diapers, wipes and formula….a lot of websites have personalized items now, you could get something personalized

  7. Diapers, wipes, formula, baby was, etc… cute picture frame, clothes other than newborn 9 months and up , keep in mind the season the baby will be when they are 9 months etc..

Gifty card for prents to nice restaurant is a good bonus to add to your gift.

  8. There are a lot of things that you can give your sister. Diapers and wipes are always nice. My brother and sister made my daughter a bear at build a bear when she was born. You could also get her bottles (even if she is breastfeeding she could still use bottles for expressed breast milk) or blankets. You could also ask your sister what she still needs for her baby. Congratulations on your niece.

  9. something personalised …like a blanket or stuffed toy….cos its ur sisters baby …it should one that the baby can remember for ever.. dont get diapers and things like that…
