I’m 21 weeks pregnant with a little boy! I have green eyes and my fiancé has blue eyes. Also, my fiance’s parents have brown and blue eyes, and my parents have green and hazel eyes. Based on that, is it likely that my son could have green eyes?

It’s definitely possible! Or your little guy could have blue eyes. I can’t wait to see what my son’s eye color is going to be too! My husband has blue eyes, and so do his parents and sister. Whereas I have green eyes, my mom has blue, and my dad has brown. So it’s a toss up from here!

He will almost certainly NOT have brown eyes. Blue and green are the next most common…so since the both of you have each of those colors…could be either. I have blue-green eyes and my husband has green-hazel eyes. Both of our kids ended up with light eyes. My son’s are blue…like a crystal blue. But…my daughter’s are more green blue.
If I remember correctly from Biology class…brown eyes are a dominant trait…so since neither of the parents has brown eyes, the child will not either.
