What Are The Best Foods To Serve At A Baby Shower?

I’m holding a baby shower for myself and I was wondering what kind of food I should serve. My mom is cooking it and so am I.

A:              this all depends on your religion or ethnic background. like for me we are Hispanic and we go all out we have pork shoulder, yellow rice with pigeon bean or they are also called gandules, potato salad, green salad, and we even make a lasagna. so it all depends on how you where bought up and the kind of people you are having over

A:                I wouldn’t go to extremes, there is often so much excitement and so on, that eating is only half of it. For example, finger sandwiches, chips, dips, vegetables and of course cake should be plenty. This is your baby shower, you need to enjoy it and not spend a whole lot of time cooking. If anything ask the people you are inviting to bring something like a potluck that way everyone comes out a winner. I would feel really bad if I attended a baby shower, and the preggo that held it was the one cooking.

A:              I have the perfect idea!! You must have the watermelon baby carriage… it’s healthy, it’s adorable.. & it goes right along with the shower.. this time of year, it should be really easy to find one too! You take the watermelon & hollow out the middle, the sides are cut zig zag & you cut a three strips to fit together to make the handle, you attach oranges for the wheels & fill it with fresh fruits… it’s adorable.. also, make all the foods “baby” like baby sandwiches, baby tomatoes, finger foods, baby shrimp.. ect.. you get the idea.. A MOCK champagne is great for baby showers.. you take white grape juice & mix it with gingerale, & pineapple juice.. mmmm.. I served all these foods at my baby shower & let me tell you they were a hit!!!! Good luck & congrats!!

A:                 Cheese and crackers, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Cheese, Small Rolls, Lettuce Tomato Onion, Mayo and Mustard so people can make their own sandwiches. Ice Tea, instead of soda, Fruit Plates are always nice, Chex Mix, and a Cake! (Of Course)
It’s all easy clean up! And low maintenance, But if you want to get snazzy you could make a cheese dip, with some tortilla chips!
1 bar of Velveeta cheese
Jalapenos (If wanted)
2 cans of chili, with beans, unless you don’t like them
1 Onion
1 tomato (Or you could use some salsa instead of the onion and tomato)
Cut it all up, stick it in the crock pot and let it melt. Add and Remove ingredients like you want them.

A:              do like meat trays, cheese trays, veggie and fruit trays and have rolls , fruit dip and veggie dip out.. maybe some pasta salads and potato salads….just going off of what they had at my baby shower.. and boy was it good..lol..they also had a chocolate fondue… to dip pretzels, strawberries, angel food cake and many more…yummy… good luck and congrats..

A:                    finger foods are always easy at a party like that. try the usual….finger sandwiches, potato salad, veggie tray, etc.

A:                 Try not to fret over the food, they are there to see you and either your growing belly, or your beautiful baby, not the foods
Cold Cuts and fancy breads (pumpernickel, rye, potato, etc…)
salads (lettuce, fruit, potato, pasta)
Jello
Cake (of course)
