toddler nutrition–: What do you cook your toddler for supper?
I have two toddlers and the only real supper they like is chicken nuggets or pasta. They get plenty of nutrition throughout the day with sandwiches, smoothies, eggs, yogurt, some babyfood veggies and things like that…but as far as a hot meal for dinner, only two meals are enjoyed by them. Any other ideas?

My son is the same way :D you should try macaroni and cheese. It’s really cheap, and tasty. You could even mix bits of chicken nuggets or hot dogs into it. Hope this helped :)

Mac and cheese is yummy. I use Annies and mix tiny bits of chicken and chopped up veggies. If you think he will eat mac and cheese…give it to him with the other foods mixed in first. If he loves it plain he may reject it with the healthy stuff in there. Stuffing…, I add the chicken and veggies chopped up and roll it into little balls(like meatballs) we call them dumplings. Ravioli with sauce or butter.
Ground turkey…make meatballs, he can have that with his pasta. Hamburgers….(if they watch Spongebob..they are kind of young) my dd calls them crabby patties.

I have 2 children…one is the pickiest eater on earth..my dd eats most foods but has her favorites. The best thing to do is offer them something they usually dont like. This is dinner…dont force them to eat it but say…today this is what we are eating, it is really yummy…try it. Hopefully they will eat some of it. THen say…great job for trying a new dinner…eat some more please…you can choose what we have for dinner tomorrow.
I usually serve a meat, veggie and a starch. I choose one thing I know they like alot. If they ask for more…ok, eat some veggies and I will get you some more chicken. It always works with my daughter…my son will only eat a few things.

Most toddlers are picky and the majority of toddlers only eat well at 1 or 2 meals per day. Yor toddlers will not starve themselves and if they get hungry enough then they will eat what you cook and serve to them. Your job is to provide them with healthy meals, but it is their job to decide what to eat, whether or not to eat, and how much to eat. Cook healthy meals and encourage them to eat but don’t force them or punish them if they don’t. If they refuse to eat what you serve them then don’t make a big deal out of it. When it is time for supper tell them that it is time to eat and if they won’t eat then say “this is what we are having and you can decide to eat or not but there will be no more meals served until breakfast in the morning”. Let them choose what they want for supper sometimes and let them “help” you fix the meal. If they are allowed to help then they will be proud of themselves and will be more likely to eat because they helped make it. Here are some toddler friendly and nutritious things that my daughter likes to eat for supper.
1. macaroni and cheese made with whole wheat noodles, peas and carrots, and diced ham (mix it in with the mac and cheese)
2. baked chicken nuggets (buy some boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut them into nugget size pieces, and role them in whole wheat bread crumbs then bake them in the oven), mashed potatoes, peas
3. pizza made with whole wheat crust with toppings of cheese, spinach, diced tomatoes, and red and green peppers
4. whole wheat pasta with broccoli and diced chicken and parmesan cheese
5. veggie omelet with veggies such as green and red peppers, diced tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, cheese, broccoli, shredded carrots, or any other veggie you have on hand
6. baked potato with broccoli and cheese on top
7. grilled chicken cut into bite size pieces, broccoli and cheese rice
8. chicken noodle and vegetable soup, whole wheat crackers
9. sliced turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes

offer them some of whatever you feed the rest of the family, and keep offering it takes a toddler up to 15 times of seeing a new food before they eat it giving them roast turkey once and them not liking it doesn’t mean they won’t if they see it often enough
biggest thing don’t make it a battle they can eat or not like you said they aren’t starving.

Our pediatrician told us that by the age of 1, we should start to serve our daughter what we eat ourselves (cut up to pieces she can handle, of course).

Catering only to things a child likes promotes picky eating. Just presenting food that the family is eating and telling her what it is works like a charm. She loves a wide range of food (olives, hummus, salmon, curry, etc.)–and it’s because we don’t just give her chicken nuggets or hot dogs at every meal.

If you only give the child the same three or four meals, you’re setting yourself up for a long period of picky eating over the next few years.

The following not about toddler nutrition,But funnyBehind every successful man, there is a woman. And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two. There should be a better way to start a day than waking up every morning. Your mind is like this water, my friend, when it is agitated, it becomes difficult to see, but if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear..Save water. Shower with your girlfriend. 。!!Good advice :Make a baby-safe room and let your child practice crawling or toddling away from you and then back again. Send the message that you’ll always be around, even if you aren’t immediately to hand
