toddler nutrition–: Good source of nutrition and feeding information for nursing toddler?
My 14 month old is still nursing and I plan to let her continue to nurse until she weans naturally. But when I search for nutrition information on feeding a one year old, all the information and books I can find assume that a baby over 12 months will no longer be nursing.
Are there any good books or web sites that have nutritional and feeding guidance for nursing toddlers? Thanks in advance!
To clarify, I’m referring to nutrition and feeding information about solids.

I always fed my children tree square meals at that age and nursed before (and sometimes after) naps and bed. That was about 4-6 times a day. breastfeeding at that point was more supplemental than nutrition. Talk to your pediatrician though he/she will be able to help

The advice my pediatrician gave was to just do whatever you’d normally do but if you’re a little light on dairy, don’t worry. Human milk is milk.

There’s not a lot — but you may find parts of this page useful nttp://www.kellymom.com/bf/bfextended/ebf-benefits.html#nutrition
Really not something you need to worry too much about. Put healthy food in front of her, stay the course with nursing on cue, and relax. A lot of the “information” about feeding toddlers out there comes courtesy of Gerber et al; it’s not actually research-backed useful stuff, just made-up collections of wives’ tales. Question–: Describe the importance of nutrition during the Infancy and Toddler-hood period.?
What do you feel about this situation?

I think nutrition is particularly important early in life to establish healthy habits from the get go. The better you establish healthy eating habits now, the healthier your children grow.
One of the biggest problems with childhood obesity is parent’s aren’t providing healthy options for children. It is easier to crack open a bag of chips than it is to peel and dice an apple. However If you look at obese children and then look at their parents, the weight issue almost always follows suit. We also need to be examples to our children, they’re like little sponges at toddler age, they copy and mimic every thing they see, they suck up information constantly. Monkey see monkey do, laziness and poor eating is contagious.
As for infants, brain Development as well as immune development is incredibly important at this stage and providing a child with adequate nutrition is imperative to even the most rudimentary growth in a child.
