Pizza, always a hit.
Pizza, chicken nuggets, potato chips, sandwhiches, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese.
I had a birthday party when my daughter turned 3 and we had kids from 2-6 years old. We had an assortment of stuff, and everyone had fun.

Pizza is a great idea- everyone will eat pizza- you can get it with many toppings- also- have some salads. People watching thier weight will appreciate that. Also- a veggie platter- those will be good finger foods.

do you think these toddlers really care about the food? they simple want to play and have a good time. a simple mini-barbecue with marshmallows at the tip, macaroni and cheese or spaghetti and cup cakes with colored icing might be attractive because the table will look attractive because of the colors of the food. I think you have to worry more about the guardians, parents and other adults who will be accompanying the other toddlers. try to organize games like piñata and other games approriate for toddlers, party packs with goodies in them may also do the trick.

IMHO opinion, it is on the verge of racism to say that one particular group race one thing over another. (This is based on what other people answered.) Basically, when your guests call to RSVP, I would ask if there is anything that they or their child does not like or has preferences for.
That would be the most polite way of asking without offending anyone.
(Doing so, for my daughter’s 6th b-day party, I found out that one of her guests is a vegetarian and another is allergic to peanuts. It was much easier to plan after that.)
As far as menu planning, I would say that it depends on the time of day. If the party is about lunch or dinner time (noon or 5 p.m.), I would say that your guests would be expecting a meal. If the party is mid-day, say 2 or 3, then simple appetizers will do. We did lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, crackers/chips with different dips and spreads. We also did a deli tray with sliced meats and cheeses. If you don’t have access to stove/oven, try using your slow-cooker/crock pot to keep things warm like cheese dips. (To me, it is a bit unusual that your party would take place for 4 hours. Generally, 2 hours is the max. You’d be better off going from 3 to 5; my kids, bedtime is at 7:30! You might have some cranky 3 year olds!)
Bottom line, it is good for the hostess to consider the likes of all of her guests but you can’t please everyone.
Hope this helps,
Mon

You should feed her food that’s good for her that will help her gain weight, not junk or extra butter, b/c she could have problems with being overweight later in her life. I have two small kids and I just feed them what the family eats, I don’t worry about making them gain weight as long as they’re healthy and the doctor’s not worried.
Edit: I cannot believe people are actually putting tons of butter in their kids food to make them gain weight. No wonder there’s millions of obese people in the world.

Hmm…try this:
Breakfast – 1 scrambled egg with 1/2 slice of toast, milk to drink.
Snack – 1/2 apple or 1/2 banana with peanut butter [if she's not allergic to nuts], cup of milk.
Lunch – 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich, cup of juice.
Snack – Handful of crackers, or some sliced cheese, cup of milk.
Dinner – Maybe a small plate of baked/steamed chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, corn, macaroni and cheese….something along those lines of foods and side dishes. And whatever she will take to drink.
Snack – A handful of healthy cookies, or grapes.
I really don’t remember how much my daughter ate when she was that age, but I’m guessing it was around that portion size. You can of course change anything on this, but I think that she would slowly gain weight without being unhealthy or fat. All bread I gave my daughter was whole grain, and the milk was 2%. Hope this helps you!

My sons Dr had me add tsp of corn oil to every 2 ounces of milk 2 times a day . And lots of butter or margarine in everything possible. My son is 27 months and only 22 pounds. We battled his weight since birth. These ideas may work it won’t hurt to try.
What do you think? Answer below! cupcakes!

nice pizza but instead of that fattening toppings try lowfat cheese; and lost of veggies and good stuff like that
maybe some notfat ice cream or low on the sugar so they dont get too hyper
try some broiled hambrgers with lots of veggies like tomaro andlettuce and some mustard or kechup.
mayke some handmade milk shakes or something instead of the ice cream or root bear floats
also try some appetizers like mini corn dogs or bite size pizzas or something that they kids can eat on the go ;}
lots of finger food, for my three year olds party i made the little boxes up for each child each with a selection of sandwiches, jam, marmite and cheese .Cheese sticks sausage rolls or vege sausage rolls, and a juice carton too. We had 20 children to cater for and just gave the food box to the mum or dad and they ate when they wanted to, crisps and snacks were laid out on the table along with grown up food and then later on i put out the treats cakes and biscuits. It went so well that one of the other mums used it for her child’s party a month later.Good luck and enjoy !
First on the list is birthday cake. Please for the sake of all of the guests and yourself have a seperate small cake or cupcake for your 3 year old to blow out the candles! Nothing is cuter and more embarrasing all at once as a toddler spitting on or falling into the middle of the cake. It is adorable, but then, all of a sudden – no edible cake! What is a mom to do? A cupcake or small matching cake saves the worry.
For food – go with a deli tray of meats and cheeses with rolls. Maybe a few salads on the side. Fresh fruit is also always a winner. You could make chili, stew, tacos, or anything else that could be kept warm in a crock pot as well.
Finger foods
Sandwiches: pb&j, turkeyNcranberry, hamNcheese, whatever. Use large cookie cutters to cut them into shapes, like stars, gingerbread men, circles, cars, shoes, rockets etc.
Fruit salad: You can use the same cutters for large sliced pineapple and oranges and smaller shaped cutters for slices of melons, apples, pears.
Variety of crackers, sliced french bread and child friendly cheeses like mild cheddar, american or jack and hearty cheeses for adults, like pepperjack cheese, swiss, smoked gouda.
Chips and salsas. You can heat nacho cheese in microvave.
Sliced assorted vegetables and a dip.
A small birthday cake for the candles and ceremony and a large assortment of birthday cupcakes to hand out right away. It’s extremely hard for kids to wait for the cutting and plating of a cake.
Variety of beverages. An urn of coffee. Sparkeling apple cider, lemonade, iced tea, bottled water, ginger ale,. Try to stay away from caffinated drinks for the kids. It will be insane enough without them bouncing off the walls.
If the hall has limited refrigerator space, use coolers with ice to keep stuff in.
Remember you can’t please everyone’s palate. It is your child’s birthday party so the food should be geared towards three year olds. They like to dip and eat with their hands. The two things that I would suggest is to steer away from pork and remember that many parents are very health conscious.
Beef hot dogs on those little wooden forks (the wooden forks don’t burn in the microwave)
Fresh veggies and dip
Fresh fruit and sweet yogurt dip
Baked pita or naan with a savory yogurt dip
Spinach dip with bread
For the adults (and adventurous three year olds) make food that can be reheated easily and still taste good. The key is not too much meat in whatever dish you choose. One choice may be lasagna with hamburger and/or beef sausage, salad and bread. You could also integrate this with a Mexican lasagna. It is the same theory with soft tortillas, taco meat (it might be a good idea to use chicken here), refried beans, corn, cheese and salsa. Make sure you have sour cream!
These are ideas that are healthy and homemade. If all else fails call Dominoes. Remember you can’t even order really good pizza, the party is for a three year old!
