mac and cheese or french fries and chicken nuggets? my nephew loves it!

Answer by Qwerty
Some mac and cheese. Or some chicken nuggets and fries. PB&J sandwiches, fruit salad (cut up fruit in a bowl). Steamed veggies. You can make anything for a toddler you might make for yourself, just make sure they are in small pieces if she is not accustomed to biting yet.

I give my 15 month old apple’s or pear’s for snack.

And about 7 to 8 6 oz cups of milk, the rest of the time he gets juice. He’s a big drinker (LOL)

My son LOVES those Graduates Fruit and Grain bars. They keep him busy and they’re pretty good for him.
Also there are little flavored rice puff balls by Graduates that your kids can eat like candy, but they’re also quite good for them. I suggest them both.

snacks?… Cereal bars, Cheerios, fruit, dried fruit, Gerber’s yogurt melts, applesauce, teddy grahams,

Meals?… Gerber makes toddler meals that heat up in 30 seconds and are great for the occasional lunch or dinner. As far as breakfast goes, you could use any of those snacks in combination with each other. Instant oatmeal is also quick. It doesn’t take long to scramble one egg and to throw a piece of wheat bread in the toaster. My son loves waffles. I put grape or strawberry jam on them instead of syrup.

As far as milk goes, I think its something like atleast 16 ounces a day. ( or 2 cups) But your pediatrician could probably answer that a lot better for you!

I’m not sure if many moms know this, but juice is possibly the worst things you can give your kid. Its loaded with sugar, destroys kids growing teeth, and has little to no nutritional value.
With that being said, this is a good time to start to broaden her taste buds, so she will be more openminded when it comes to trying new food in the future. Variety is always best, if she doesnt like a particular thing, like broccoli, move on to something else, and re-introduce the broccoli at a later time. Raw fruits and veggies are best, fruit smoothies are good too, and you can add dairy like yogurt or milk to sneak in an extra serving of calcium she needs. Matchstick cut carrots and cucumbers with dip are good, so is trail mix.
Also, try to introduce international cuisine as well like japanese and indian food. Surprisingly, I’ve known alot of toddlers that love cucumber and avocado sushi, just skip the raw fish menu, and focus on simple one ingredient vegetarian sushi, like zucchini or cream cheese.
The trick to getting kids to eat different food, is to constantly introduce it to them on a weekly basis, so they get used to trying new things.

Remember,

Apples can be pre-sliced and kept fresh in apple juice (natural/ low sugar)
or simply be mixed with FruitFresh (in canning area of store) or vitamin E
