Lilah is taking a shine to peas and carrots. I’m taking care of her for the afternoon, while Mom and Dad are at the movies to see Harry Potter. Lilah is teething and has had a tough baby week. This is after her nap, bath, and she is almost done with lunch, and ready for some free play time. I have been criticised for singing / speaking Bavarian / German. It is my mother language. I also sing to her in Yiddish, Romany, and French. She likes it. Besides over 95% of our vocal interaction is in English. I have been told, the videos are too long. Too bad! High Chair time is the only time I can get her to stay still enough for filming. She is still too unsteady on her feet to capture her as anything but a blur. I video tape her because she is too active for regular photographs. Video taping provides for some very high quality stills. I’m also told I tape her too much. My average sitting session with her is about 2 – 4 hours, each babysitting session. My video taping of her in that time span, is rushed, unrehearsed, raw and minimal – at best. My time is consumed with caring for her. What you see is what you get. Just the two of us, interacting and being us.

hi she is now 16 months, she started eating textured food around 9-10 months. her favorite food is avocado.
Have you tried giving your little one finger foods like toast and fruit etc?
you are lucky, she wants to swallow that food, my 19 months old cannot swallow textured food, only pureed still.
