toddler meal ideas–: Need healthy meal ideas for my toddler?
I am running out of good foods to feed my 2 1/2 year old. He likes pretty much anything he’s not that picky. I want to feed him a well balanced diet but I’m 9 months prego so I’ve been slacking a little just because I don’t want to cook. I just feel like he is getting bored with his food choices and I was wondering if anyone out there has any good, healthy, relatively simple meal ideas! Thanks!

They have those Kid Cuisine meals at Wal-mart in the freezer section. Or you could try feeding him a pb&j sanwhich (they have Uncrustables from Smuckers in the freezer section too. Tehy mini pb&j crustless sandwhiches.)

I am not sure how cheap you want, but Tyson has little bags of grilled chicken you can buy. My three year old loves these even more than fried chicken fingers. And they are a lot healthier. I give him that with a slice of cheese for lunch and then later some carrot sticks for a snack but he HAS to have ranch to dip his in! Also there are apples with caramel dip that I do for dessert sometimes. The caramel gives him a little bit of a sweet taste but is a lot better for him. Oh and they have Green Giant broccoli and cheese it’s frozen and very cheap. You just heat it in the microwave!

I gave my two year-old a peanut butter and banana sandwich for the first time the other day for lunch and he devoured it. Elbow macaroni and fresh diced tomatoes and parmesan cheese (My son LOVES anything pasta)
Answer by AerynneC
pb and j or grilled cheese sandwiches on whole wheat bread, organic macaroni and cheese, and pasta with parmesan cheese are some that come to mind. As for sides, my toddler loves broccoli dipped in ranch, cubed tomato, and any kind of fruit. Smoothies are good snacks. Put milk and frozen fruit in your blender. If you use some banana, you don’t need to add sugar.

I fed my kids whatever I ate. Lots of veggies, whole grains, fruits etc.

Baked beans on wholemeal toast with diced fresh tomato, grated cheese, and if you are feeling energetic a poached egg. This has everything – protein, fibre, calcium, and vegetables. Most kids love this and it doesn’t take long to make.

!!Good advice :It’s very easy to get sucked into the constant advertising of baby powders, creams, and lotions. But the best baby lotion is plain old olive oil—cheap, natural, and un-perfumed. As for other products, keep it as natural, organic, and fragrance-free as possible.
