6 months is the recommended age.
As you see by the first posters information, she started her baby too early and it caused health problems for her little one.
At 6 months and when you notice these signs:
Baby will be ready when they lose the tongue thrust reflex.
When they can sit up and keep their body and head supported by themselves in a highchair.
When they show an interest in what you are eating.
Start baby on just a little bit of food, just a teaspoon or two so that her body isn’t filled up all of a sudden with food- it will take a little time for her body to get used to it. Slowly, you can increase the amount.
Always try each new food separately so you can check for allergies.
Pureeing food and freezing it into ice cube trays is a great way to have a supply of food for baby, it takes just minutes to defrost and ice cube size is great for little ones just starting out.
