Baby Has A Strong Gag Reflex, Any Advice On Getting Her Used To Table Foods?
My baby is 9 months old and eating pretty much all mushy baby foods. However, she gags whenever I try to give her things more like table foods, such as mushed bananas or peaches, or avocado, or cheerios… that’s as far as I’ve gotten because she gags and spits up every bite of anything thicker than baby food. She is just now coming around to eating those little baby food puffs but won’t touch the wagon wheels.
Any advice on getting her used to table food? Her doctor wants me to start weaning her but I don’t think she’s ready.

Is It Okay To Ask For ‘gently Used Hand-me-downs’ On My Baby Shower Invitation?
I have several friends who have babies who are outgrowing their infant clothes and have offered them to me. It seems like it would be ashame for them to have to go buy something new for me when they already have gently used stuff themselves.
Would it be tacky to ask the person who is throwing me shower to put something like:
Registered at Babies R US and Wal-Mart.
Gently used hand-me-downs welcome.

How Long Should I Let My 5 Month Old Baby Get Used To Rice Cereal Before I Start Him On Other Baby Foods?
I am a parent of 2 children. Both Under the age of 4, so I’m still fresh… And once I let me children have rice cereal I made sure they had no reaction within the first couple of days. If they don’t have any reaction by that time and once it is digested and found its way back out of their system again they should be fine. The KEY to remember is that when you start a baby on any new “food” you should do it in the VERY beginning of the day. That way if it bothers them you can keep an eye on it all day long. There is nothing worse than having a child sick during the night. Just some mommy advice

anyone know some place on line other than ebay to find used children/infant clothes? i have a search saved on ebay already but i’m trying to find outfits for my kids to wear to a couple of weddings this fall, would rather buy used since they will probably be wearing the outfits once or twice.
i also plan to hit yard sales and such when i can just would love to find an additional venue
