Question–: Why is my mother in law obsessed with feeding my baby things?
what is it about feeding a baby that people just feel like shoving food in their mouth no matter what it is? she wants to feed him anything she has in her hand even right after the baby has eaten a full meal.

why are people so obsessed with feeding babies? you wouldn’t walk up to a 7 year old and just start feeding them for fun so why do people do it to babies?
and why do people feel like they have a right to just start feeding someone else’s baby?

I am a daycare provider. I am looking for websites to buy things for my infant and toddler classrooms. Things such as toys, board books, etc. Lakeshore and a few other catalogs seem to be very expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows of any really cheap places to buy these things, where do you buy yours?

toddler nutrition–: What kinds of foods can cause diarreah in a toddler? Or are there other things that can cause it, too?
My toddler has been having diarreah for quite some time now. He does not act sick at all and does not even seem to get stomach aches. These things make me think that it is a reaction to something that he’s eating, rather than something viral or bacterial, but I can’t think of anything new in his diet that could be the culprit. Sometimes the diarreah is mucousy and yellow, but sometimes it’s black and watery. I can see the whole peas and cut-up grapes that I just fed him 20 minutes ago in his diaper, so I’m afraid he’s not getting enough nutrition. He doesn’t eat wheat or dairy, most of his vegetables and fruits are organic. I don’t know of any allergies that he has, but there must be something! I’ve taken him to the doctor, but his doctor is one of those old-time, pompous windbags who thinks I just don’t feed him enough sugar. (I’m looking for a new doctor, but in the meantime, I need to work on this mystery myself!)

So tell me, is there something I’m not thinking of? Can diarreah be a result of something environmental? If he were sick, wouldn’t he show some other sign?

If you don’t have any actual knowledge about this subject, please don’t answer.
What am I not thinking of? Can teething cause diarreah for long periods of time?

Question–: What are the general regulations for bringing baby food and other necessary baby things on board a plane?
I’ll be traveling with my 7 month old daughter next month and I’m unsure of the general regulations for baby food and other things necessary. I’ve flown with her before, but it was on a military Space-A plane and the regulations are different. I’ve never flown commercial with her.

Q&A–: What things can I teach my two year old?
My two year old already likes watching tv (Dora, go diego, go) but I do not want him watching tv all day. I have switched my work hours to teach him something other than watching tv like dad allows him to do. I want to teach him early on so that as an african american male he will be ahead. What types of things could I teach him that are appropiate, fun, and educational, and encourage thinking without overwhelming him that is age appropiate.

reading with your child–: Reading your child journal/ going through their things?
I read I question on here that sparked my interest in what parents thought about this. Is it an invasion of privacy or is it your right as a parent to check on them as you please?
If I found out my parents read my journal or went through my room or bags I would be really mad and I wouldn’t trust them anymore. Kids need privacy to and if you have to go through their things to find out what’s going on with them maybe you’re not the best parents because they should be able to talk to you about anything. That’s just my opinion. How do other parents feel? Is it your house so you get to do what you want or do you respect your childrens privacy?
Jeri-Lyn~ Sorry to disappoint you sweetie but I’m 21 with a kid of my own on the way. Not some spoiled teenager. If I feel that my kids are doing something that could hurt them I would first ask them about it. If I felt they were lying then I would look through their things. But I still wouldn’t snoop. They would be standing next to me as I was searching. Everyone deserves a right to privacy. My parents didn’t go through my things unless it was in front of me and they had reason to.
