My daughter is 8 months and I am giving her stage 2 foods. When she turns 9 months, i will begin stage 3 foods. One friend has been giving her son table foods (chicken nuggets, fries, macaroni and cheese, etc) since he was about 7 months…. He had no teeth then. I think it is way too early to start table foods until the baby has more teeth and at least 1 year old. Am I wrong and should be starting table foods with my 8 month old?

I’ll admit I give my son a taste here and there of some things Im eating (it’s hard not to when he reaches for everything on my plate ha)
He is almost 7 months old, and has been on pureed fruits and veggies since he was 5 months.
He also eats baby rice cookies, and has no problem picking up the pieces and putting them in his mouth.
No teeth yet, but Ive seen babies go til they are 18 months without teeth, and they learn to just gum the food
Do you think its too early to start table foods?

My baby will be 8 months on the 25th of June. He still likes his formula but doesn’t want to eat his gerber food anymore. He still doesn’t have any teeth. How many months was your baby when you started him/her on table foods?

My son has ezema and I am careful about certain allergy items but it is hard because many baby food and toddler foods have strawberry and tomatoes. Any suggestions?
