Question–: when do most babies start eating baby food other than cereal?
my baby girl is 7 months old. i have been trying to get her to eat vegetables and fruits for over a month now. maybe twice a week she will eat a 1/2 a jar and then the other days won’t eat any of them any suggestions?

feeding baby solids–: I thought 6 months was ok to start feeding a baby solids??
My dr. told me to wait until 6 months to feed my baby solids. But some people have told me that is too early. Is this true?? I thought the American Association of Pediatrics said that 6 months was ok? I just posted a question regarding solids and another person said that 6 months was too early to start feeding solids.

Q&A–: When did you start feeding meats to your baby? Finger foods?
My son is 8 1/2 months old and I haven’t given him any meats yet. He has had so many different kinds of fruits and veggies and also can feed himself cheerios and that sort of thing. I am making his baby food for him and have read up on how to make meats such as chicken and turkey but just wondering when I should start?
I haven’t given him any Gerber baby food, so I am not sure what stage he is on. When does Gerber introduce meats and what are they?
Also, what type of finger foods did you give an 8 1/2 month old? I was thinking about trying noodles tonight and maybe steamed carrots? Or is this too soon?

My son is 1 month old and he eats 4 oz every 3 hrs and he still acts like he is hungry so what can I do, or when can I start feeding him cereal. My mom said I could go ahead and feed him cereal but I don’t know is he to young? Will it hurt him? How old does he need to be before I can feed him cereal? And what would be another alternative to help with him when he seems to be hungry all the time? Because I don’t want him to get fat.

my daughter just turned 4 mo old, she is a breastfed baby and is in the 95 percentile for her hight and weight she weighs 19 pounds and is 25 in long. she can sit up with support, hold her head up, and close her mouth over a spoon. I think that she is ready for solid foods, but my family and friends are giving mr a hard time about still breastfeeding her and starting solids, they say she’s going to get too fat. They seem to think that i should stop nursing her, because she is big…we both enjoy nursing….what should i do? Im going to get her doctors oppinion, i was just curious what u think

I’ve had different people tell me different things about when to start feeding an infant baby food.

I’m not sure I like my doctor’s advice about her being fed three times a day by six months old…

Tell me when you started feeding your child baby food and what foods are good to start with. Right now, she’s exclusively breastfeeding so that may make a difference also. Thanks!
