I am a breastfeeding mom. My left breast has inverted nipple. Why is it so painful during the start of breastfeeding when my daughter tries to draw the nipple out? Is there any way I can correct this? Thanks!

Question: When did your toddler start asking and answering “Why?” questions?

My son will be three in May, and he doesn’t seem to understand the question, “Why?” He understands, and asks who, what, where, & when, but I thought he would be able to get basic why questions by now. If asked why he did something, he looks at you confused, and just repeats the question. He also never asks why questions when he doesn’t get why he isn’t allowed to do something.

I realize that this is not a newborn question, but I usually get more answers from you all than I do on the toddler page, and I know that some of you have toddlers in addition to your newborns.

Q&A: I stopped breastfeeding and want to start again, suggestions on how to get my milk producing?

My son is 8 weeks old now, and I stopped breastfeeding at around 4 weeks. I still have some milk, because when I squeeze my nipple, milk comes out. How can I get my milk production back up to continue breastfeeding? Or is it too late?

Question: Breastfeeding Moms- Are you willing to start speaking as if breastfeeding were the norm?

So instead of saying that breastfeeding is best. It should be breastfeeding is normal and formula is inferior. Maybe if we all started speaking as if breastfeeding is normal more people would do it. Instead of thinking breastfeeding is something extra, or special you could do for your baby people will just see it as normal.

For example: Not breastfeeding increases the risk of allergies, obesity, etc.

Do you think if people began speaking as if breastfeeding is normal more people would be willing to breastfeed, or less likely to fall for the fantasy that formula is okay.

My four month old eats rice cereal and oatmeal. I was wondering when to start her on actual baby food?

Question: When did you start baby food how old ?

Did you start with rice or go to baby food. Im not planning on starting any type of food until he is 5 or 6 months. But I wanted to straight to baby food and not do the whole rice in bottle thing. What did you do?
I can’t spell this morning. I do not want to do the whole rice in bottle. But is this the best method to start.

I would like to know when you started to give your baby regular food instead of baby food? You can add when you should start doing that.

Question: How long did you use baby food jars for? When did you start?

I have a three month old and have stocked up on about 120 baby food jars different variates, I bought on ebay. I have a chance to buy 4 cases of 12-4oz jars apple, bannanas, and peas plus about 15 extras for 15 so I am wondering if I should go for it or not. When did you start baby foods, what was the first one, and how long did you use them for?

What age did you start your baby on the 1st age baby food? My son is almost (in a few days) 5 months old (I know its a little early but he eats so much formula, I thought I might try and see how he takes it, and maybe supplement a bottle or two with the baby food) and I’ve started giving it to him, and he was doing really well until I gave him carrots. I think that may have constipated him. So when did you start feeding your baby the 1st age baby foods, and what foods did they like or dislike, or had negative reactions to?
