I have a 4 month old daughter and she seems to be bothered by the lingering smell of cigarette smoke in a room. on the clothes or on the breath. My mother smokes and she is so insulted that I suggested this to her that she will not speak to me. I even went as far as explaining to her that my pediatrician suggested this as well. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

If a person smokes outside of the house and doesnt wash his/her hands afterwards then handles a baby/infant, will there be any harm like second hand smoke to the baby/infant/child or even others around?

I would wash them, heck I even wash brand new clothes from the store. People think I’m wasting money by doing that but I’m just making sure the kiddos are safe. In the day and age now, I would say wash everything you get for the little one; just cause of the flu going around.
