my daughter just turned 4 mo old, she is a breastfed baby and is in the 95 percentile for her hight and weight she weighs 19 pounds and is 25 in long. she can sit up with support, hold her head up, and close her mouth over a spoon. I think that she is ready for solid foods, but my family and friends are giving mr a hard time about still breastfeeding her and starting solids, they say she’s going to get too fat. They seem to think that i should stop nursing her, because she is big…we both enjoy nursing….what should i do? Im going to get her doctors oppinion, i was just curious what u think

Q&A–: What should I do with the used stroller my dad bought me?
My dad who lives out of state, showed up late to my baby shower (he was staying at my brothers apartment, had came up the night before, was invited to stay at my house.) and gave me a used jogging stroller as a gift. it was wrapped in Saran wrap. I’m concerned about safety, recalls and where the stroller came from. I had already picked out a stroller that my parents agreed upon (they are divorced) and my mom got me the car seat I had picked out (brand new, highest safety rating). So now I have this used jogging stroller I wouldn’t even be able to use until the baby is at least 6 months old and it’s not the one I picked out. I’m offended and hurt and don’t mean to sound ungrateful but I think my dad did a jerks thing and i’m not sure what to do. I don’t even want the stroller, it just feel cheap.
I really just need to say my dad DID know what stroller was picked out and it would have been better if he brought nothing. Many conversations were had over this with him. I’m not ungreatful, as I said.

Q&A–: How should I set up a treasure hunt for a large group of young children in a library and parking lot?
I’ll be setting up a treasure hunt to start off a party at my local library. In past years, around 50 or more children have come to the party so I should expect the same number (maybe even more). The children range in age from 5 up to 10 (although I was planning that the really young children would get help from their parents). The hunt will be set up in the library parking lot (which is pretty big) and in the children’s section of the library. The only problem is, I’m not really sure how to set it up! Should the children work in groups or should they work alone? Should they have to carry a sheet and maybe pick up a sticker at each clue to make sure they go to each clue? Should a library volunteer be at each clue to read the clue to the children or should the children read the clues themselves?

Any ideas or help would be amazing

My son is almost four months old and weighs 18lbs! He has more than doubled his birth weight which was 7.5lbs. Can i give him solid foods now or wait? If wait…for how long?

he eats table food already, but i feed him baby food for main meals just to make sure he is getting full. i’m afraid that if i take the baby food away from him he wont be getting full on the table food becaus ei wont know how much he is eating. when should i stop feeding him the baby food and let him go full time table food?

What age do you think is reasonable for a regular store trip to a department store? Nothing extreme. I saw a girl today, about 10 years old in one at Kohls. No there was nothing wrong with her, she was walking about then I saw her climb in the stroller. It just looked so ridiculously hilarious.

Q&A–: What should I do with a baby bird that has fallen out of his nest in a tree?
I have a fenced in area in my back yard where my dogs run around, and 2 days ago I found a dead baby bird on the ground directly under a nest about 20 ft up in a tree. It was hard to tell if there were more in the nest. Around 1 am, I let my dog out and I noticed a baby bird jumping around making noise. Doesn’t look injured. He looks like hes about half way there to having his feathers ready to fly. I nudged him (easily!) into a empty baby pool & then into a aquarium w/ a cage top .I did NOT touch him with my bare hands. I guided him in the tank with the lid. I dug up about 5 worms. I have a wide infant medicine syringe,should I feed them to him? I’ve also heard to moisten bread W/ water to hydrate .. It was 95 & HOT today! I live in southern MD . Should I put him back & hopefully the mother is still flying down & feeding him or should I keep him until the am, feed him the worms, & then put him back in am to see if the mother comes. Help Help! I need advice! serious only please !!!
Hi. thanks for answers so far,, I wanted to add that the nest is way to far up for me to even try to put him back. I’m starting to even wonder if thats the nest he came from because of it being so high up. He doesn’t seem injured at all. He jumps all around and has his mouth wide open when I open the top. I wonder if the mother would come down and feed him if I left the tank open and sat it in the yard. Its only a 10 gallon tank. Its 4am! I need sleep!! lol I don’t know what to do. If I leave it unopened, than I take the chance of a snake, or whatever, getting a hold of him. but at the same time, I don’t want the mother to give up on him if she can’t get to him until the am. Should I mash up the worms, or just drop them in his mouth in small pieces? I thought the mom regergitate (spelled wrong probably) the worms into the babies mouth. ewe! lol. I sure wish it wasn’t 4am!! lol
me again. its now 5:51 am, I gave him the 6 worms , he tore them up! I decided to sit him out in the yard, and see what he does. I turned the cage on its side,after about 10 minutes, he jumped out onto the grass. He hasn’t moved since! It seems like hes calling for the mother the way he chirps. He keeps looking up into the air above him, right where that nest is. Need to go see if hes still there. I could never work in a vets office! I can handle people hurt, bleeding, etc, but not animals. I sure hope the little guy will be ok. If hes there, I think I;m going to put him back in the tank and make a phone call to the local bird rescue(already checked on it!) if hes gone, I pray he will be ok!! cross your fingers and toes!!
