Question–: Should the sponsor stay and live in the US while parents are getting their green cards ?
Hello,

I am a US citizen but my parents are not(I had the citizenship after I was born in the US).

I am almost 20 years old living in the US, my parents are here too but they are under L1 and L2 visas( sponsorship, business visa ). When I’ll turn 21, my parents will be eligible for the green card(means they want to switch from visa to green card).. All their immigration requirements are met, the only problem, a few months after I turn 21, I will have to go to overseas because I want to work and live there.

Is it obligatory that the sponsor stays in the US untill his parents get the green card.

PS: Chances are I will come back to the US but after I have worked overseas for a few years.

Q&A–: Help please: green card revoked after parents moved back to home country?
I used to live in the US for 10 years, but when I was 11 my parents decided to move back to their home country. We were also offered citizenship 2 times, but my parents declined both times. Is it possible to regain my green card based on the fact that this was all done against my will?

Question–: Do i have to be domiciled in US in order for my parents to get green card?
I am a US citizen but i live in UK, i applied for Green Card for my parents in London 2 years ago, now they have an appointment in December, I need to know if i have to move to US and live there for a while in order for my parents to get US visa?

Question–: Can A Green Card Holder Sponsor Parents?
Can a US green card holder (only son) sponsor their 75 years old parents for family based green card?The parents are alone overseas and have nobody to take care of them (overseas)?
Even citizens and permanent residents don’t get any assistance in US so I guess it should not be much difference.
Are children responsible to pay parents medical bills in US?Is there any way the hospital can recover parents’ medical bills from their children?

Question–: Unmarried parents… Infant visitation schedule…?
I have an 11 week old son and his Dad rarely saw him until 3 weeks ago. We have begun doing visitation gradual. He had 4 hours twice a week the first 2 weeks and now has moved to 6 hours twice a week. That is where I plan for it to stay until we get to court or agree to a parenting plan in mediation, etc. My son is breastfed, but I am pumping for Dad so he can feed him during his time. That being said…I can’t pump a lot so Dad having more time would be a challenge as the baby is allergic to milk and soy. Anyway…I am off track…

We do not agree on custody/visitation. He wants 50% as of now…and we will be going to court within the next 6 months. I want a graduated plan that is appropriate for our distance between homes (an hour) and the baby’s age. Dad does not follow his schedule, doesn’t feed him right and basically has the “I’ll do what I want” attitude so it makes his days with Dad hard…I am terrified what would happen if he had more than 6 hours.

What do you think of this schedule – 6 hours twice a week? For anyone who has been through a custody issue with an infant…what did you give Dad before court and what did the judge order after you got to court?

Thank you…I know a lot of what I have is probably Mommy anxiety…but I was curious!

Q&A–: For parents that make their own baby food, what cook book would you recommend?
My baby is 11 months and only has her bottom 2 teeth. I’m looking for some baby cook book ideas b/c I want to make all of her food instead of giving her jarred food. I know I can just mix up what we eat in the blender, but sometimes what we eat is too spicy or wouldnt’ be right for her. Just looking for some recipe ideas.
