Question–: does your baby/toddler prefer food warm or cool? and one more thing…?
i am asking because it seems like ruby really prefers everything cold. not at all warm. and of course there is some weird traditional belief in me that warm food is supposed to taste better to babies — remember those old baby food warmer plates? anyway, when she was on formula, she only drank it room temp or cooler, and now, with solids, it seems she prefers even her mac and cheese after it has been in the refrigerator and not heated. we are currently engaged in trying to fatten her up per doc’s orders, so i am catering to every preference i can suss out (like i didn’t do that already anyway). so, is it common for kids to prefer cool/cold food?? also, an add on, does anyone else have a kid who flat out refuses all milk products? she won’t drink milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, milkshakes, yogurt. she eats cheese, but that’s it. anyone else? is your baby skinnier than the norm as a result?
rosie: ruby never, in her whole life, drank more than 5 oz. and she never took more than 3 oz until she was about 9 months old. she refused all solids except cheerios and toast until 11 months. i feel you. she is 15 months and…wait for it..18.5 pounds. if i let her, she would eat nothing but diced tomatoes, grapes, pirates booty, and soy nuggets.

I am wondering if most new babies fit newborn and is there a big difference between 0-3 month clothing and newborn? I just want to buy basic clothing for the baby for now but wonder should I buy many newborn fitting clothing?

i did leave a year ago but have been back.. i know my husband does not abuse him. i also have a 21 yr old son there i talk to them at least 3 times a day.. i tried just moving to an apartment about 5 miles away but my husband stalked me i got a protective order and it didn’t work the police did nothing. so i decided to leave the state i asked my youngest child what he wanted to do he said he wanted to stay with his dad and brother.as a mother i had to decide what was best for him.. was it move him away from all his family, school, friends everything he knows or leave him there

toddler diet–: How can I get more vegetables in my toddler’s diet?
I have been blessed with a child who will eat just about anything, but raw veggies are still tough for her to chew. She gets vegetables at dinner when we eat as a family, but it is not enough. Her eating schedule is erratic, so I never know if she just wants a snack or a meal, hence why it is so hard to just give her jarred baby food. She likes to eat things she can pick up the best. Fruit is easy because there are all kinds of semi-soft fruit that you can cut up and let her feed herself. She doesn’t really like the diced jarred carrots or peas, though. Any suggestions?

Question–: Are kids even taught penmanship/joined writing any more?
Back when I was at school, I attended a Catholic school in which penmanship/joined writing was stressed. Catholic school kids used to be known for their fine penmanship.

Even the non private schools used to have separate penmanship classes to teach the kids how write well.

Now, I see kids writing with this semi-joined print, but none of them really seem to use cursive. Is it even taught anymore.
