starting baby on solids–: 6 month old Exc BF baby starting solids…?
Hello,

I am looking for advice from fellow BF Mom’s on introducing solids to my 6 month old baby boy. I have given him Barley cereal mixed with breast milk a number of times and he’s had banana a few times… I know I should introduce one thing at a time so that I can monitor how his body/tummy react to it… but I’m curious as to what other foods other Mom’s tried in the very beginning. And I have no idea how much I should be giving him and how often? I’m in no rush… I plan to breastfeed him until he self weans. Any advice would be appreciated!

Come what may, heaven won’t fall..Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.。！！Tips :Both parents should put the baby down for naps, feed her and change her. The more family resources she has, the more secure she will feel.
Question–: Is it wrong that my 11 month old baby now drinks whole milk and eats regular food, the same things I eat?
She’s officially done with baby foods. I’m sure there are people that object to this and if you do, why is that?

Q&A–: Should a 17 month old still be eating baby food?
I work at a daycare and I have this one child and his grandmother is raising him. The child is 17 months old and a healthy weight. At daycare we tend to want to feed him foods that is soft enough for a 17 month old to eat. She keeps insisting that something is wrong with his stomach and that he can’t eat real food yet. I’ve never seen anything wrong with him, after eating table food. Do you think his grandmother is overreacting? She can’t even provide proof that the doctor said something is wrong.

Question–: Why is my 5 month old breastfed baby is super cranky… all of the time?
Facts: I’m 6 weeks pregnant, just started him on solids a few wks. ago which he LOVES (once a day about 3.5 oz.), he BF well every time I feed him except from about 10-2p.m. where he feeds for a minute then cries feeds/cries, etc. He started pooping more solid poop so I added in a little prune juice to his baby food, he gets his baby food in the late afternoon, I don’t know what other factors will help you help me figure out what the heck is wrong….?
His bottom two teeth have already come in. I started him on the rice cereal for about 5 days moved to sweet potato for 4 then carrots, squash and bananna. (prune juice was a reccomendation from babycenter.com… diluted prune juice) He feeds fine from the breast except from the 10-2 window which is before his solid food feeding. He does have an appt. scheduled w/ pediatrician, I just need advice in the meantime! I will be sticking with the same food routine as reccomended by many sources with the strained fruits and veggies… no meats, bread, etc.
(BTW, thank-you for all of your help so far!!)

Question–: 13 month old throws tantrums at feeding time?
my 13 month old daughter recently decided she didn’t want baby food anymore. i went and got a bunch of the gerber graduate lil’ entrees and other toddler foods and at first she liked it but now she screams whenever i try to feed her. my mom says i should just not feed her anything until she cooperates but i can’t just let her go to bed without eating if she keeps on fussing! she loves the little finger foods but that’s not nutritious enough for a meal. Help!!

Question–: Feeding schedule for 7 month old?
My little guy is turning 7 months old next week. I was wondering how much infant cereal (oatmeal is the favorite) he should be getting (for the iron). I exclusively pump bottles and supplement with formula. He is not a huge eater (a little small for his age) and I want to make sure he is getting enough breastmilk/formula as well as solids.
I’m planning on adding his second meal soon so the schedule would look like:

10-15min breastfeed -5:30am
3-4oz bottle and 2tbs cereal + fruit or veggie- 7:30 AM
5-6 oz bottle -10:30 AM
3-4 oz bottle and protein food(yogurt,meat etc) and fruit or veg 1:30 PM
5-6 oz bottle 4:30 pm
6-8 oz bottle 7:30pm

Of course this is approximate, he eats according to appetite. Should I be adding cereal with his afternoon meal? Or a few tbs by spoon with his evening bottle or would that get him used to eating too much before bed?
