Q&A–: What is a good website to buy infant/toddler things?
I am a daycare provider. I am looking for websites to buy things for my infant and toddler classrooms. Things such as toys, board books, etc. Lakeshore and a few other catalogs seem to be very expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows of any really cheap places to buy these things, where do you buy yours?

toddler classroom–: Where to find a list of NAEYC criteia for infant/toddler classroom?
I am looking for a list of NAEYC criteria for an infant/toddler classroom. Basically something that tells the numbers of toys that should be avaliable for each child, how many books there should be, or how to store formula. I have to compare the differences from DCFS standards to NAEYC criteria and I have a list of DCFS standards but I cannot find much on NAEYC. Does such a list exist? Help is appreciated. Thanks

What’s a fair wage to ask for a full-time infant/toddler nanny?

Anne edited the following
Question: What’s a fair wage to ask for a full-time infant/toddler nanny?

Hi Mothers and Nannies,

Need your help. This situation is a little unusual. I’m a part-time “nanny” or mother’s helper for 5 month old twin girls and a 2.5 year old boy. (3 children) I’ve been working with the family for over 4 months and they want to hire me full time. 40-50 hours a week. Roughly 9am-7pm Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri and 10am-3pm Tues, and Sat.

I work side by side with the mom and am only alone with all three kids for a few hours at most (if at all).

I live in New York City, single, 24 yrs old, female, and educated. I currently get paid /hr babysitting, but I imagine it would work out to less than that per hour as a weekly salary.

Given the circumstances, what’s a fair weekly wage? What’s a fair rate for off the books vs. on the books.

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Q&A: How much should infant/toddler clothes cost at a yard sale?

Do you find what you need? Look here!
Question: How much should infant/toddler clothes cost at a yard sale?

I’m having my first yard sale soon and I’d like to group the clothes by size and just ask a flat price per item. If I charge $.25 a piece, I won’t make much. but a piece is too much. I think, sometimes, people charge a flat price for how ever much you can stuff into a lunch bag.

What do you think? What’s a reasonable price per item or bag?

I’ve got everything from infant sizes (including socks and hats) to 24mos.

Thanks!
