!!about infant diet tips :It’s very easy to get sucked into the constant advertising of baby powders, creams, and lotions. But the best baby lotion is plain old olive oil—cheap, natural, and un-perfumed. As for other products, keep it as natural, organic, and fragrance-free as possible.
Question–: When can I introduce goat’s milk into an infant’s diet?
I have an 8 month old son and am considering introducing goats milk into his diet as a way of slowly weening him off breastfeeding. I am returning to work and have found pumping difficult and I am highly against using formulas (needless chemicals, not to mention he won’t like the taste). I am wondering if goats milk (pasturized and whole) has the same age requirements/suggestion as cows milk does for introducing once the infant is at least one year of age. Anyone with any information or who has used goats milk, please leave your suggestions.
Thanks!
I can’t help but wonder who funds all the studies that show infants “need” formula (if not breastfed) until one year of age. What did all the babies have before there was such an abundance of formulas? Personally I think that if your baby does not react to the goats milk, or cows milk (whicheveryou choose to try out) and you’re ensuring that the infant is getting all the propper nutritional needs, then why not use organic milks rather than chemical-rich formulas?…just my two cents.
