Q&A: Why do they put allergenic foods in baby food?

I am trying to keep allergenic foods away from my 7 month old daughter, as I’ve read there are many foods she shouldn’t have until her first birthday. Why then do baby food companies put strawberries, egg whites, citrus, and milk products in baby foods if babies aren’t supposed to eat them?

What age did you start your baby on the 1st age baby food? My son is almost (in a few days) 5 months old (I know its a little early but he eats so much formula, I thought I might try and see how he takes it, and maybe supplement a bottle or two with the baby food) and I’ve started giving it to him, and he was doing really well until I gave him carrots. I think that may have constipated him. So when did you start feeding your baby the 1st age baby foods, and what foods did they like or dislike, or had negative reactions to?

Question: When Babies eat organic baby food when they grow up, Do they have to keep eating organic foods?

My baby is 4 months old. My husband accidentally bought organic baby food(applesauce) and she LOVED it! BUT a couple of my friends say if she eats organic foods as a baby she will have to keep eating it when she grows up.

My daughter reacently turned 4months i’ve tried giving her the rice cereal but she always spits it out and crys for her bottle then i’ve gave her her first try of bananas and she loved it. Im just wondering how much and how many times a day and when during the day do i give her the rice cereal the bananas and the bottle im not sure if theres a type of schedule?

I’m first time mom, My son will be 6 months old on this Dec 26th How do I prepare with baby foods? If he is turn 6 months old do I still feed him Rice Cereal or not have to? How much do I have to give him gerber vegetable? how much jucie oz? is it 1 TBS spoon oatmeal with every night & every morning? Sorry I don’t know about this & I really need help how to prepare baby food breakfed, lunch, dinner time. thank!

I wanted to know when I should quit giving my baby stage 1 and go to stage 2. He just started stage 1, he is just now 4 months old. My sisters baby is only 9 months and eating regular people foods, off the gerber stuff. So how do I progress through the stages?

I think my sons rice cereal applesauce with cinnamon is pretty good, I also like the yo baby yougurt…now how he can eat the turkey or chicken with gravy???yuck!!!

My daughter is only giving my 7 month old grandbaby 14 oz of formula a day. She is eating baby foods, cereals, and juices, too…..but I think she still the nutrients in the formula for her bones and teeth. I obviously don’t know what the rules are these days.

And what do you give them?

Avoid Bananas, Rice and Pureed apple if your baby is constipated.
