There are also kits taht demonstrate physics. You know, 10 balls and you swing two they hit the others and two on the other side move out. Newton’s laws of action.
A film processing kit with contact printer or enlarger. Plastic Yankee tank, little enlarger, tri-chem pack, velox printing paper.

Go to Edmunds Scientific on the net or Radio Shack or Toys R Us and see what they have in October which is the start of Christmas season.
There is also the odd-ball.
Visual BASIC from E-bay, version 4 or 6 used.
Go to the First Basic site and they have stuff too.
Get the older version on E-bay cheap!
Computer programming in Windows.
Then you get a few books and work the examples.
