Tonight I took Katie downtown in the stroller — the public library is open late on Thursday evenings, and I was in the mood for a movie. I didn’t find one, but we did stroll around downtown after dark, which is when I love downtown Dubuque the most. The dead leaves crunched under the stroller wheels as we pushed back up University Avenue, and we were greeted at the top by the delicious aroma of Happy Joe’s taco pizza.
This was shot on Main Street, at L. May Eatery. Hopefully I didn’t spook anyone out by shooting pictures in the picture window as the diners enjoyed their romantic meals!

It’s beautiful out today, so we thought we’d take Little Alvin’s wheels out for a stroll. He barely noticed, but it was nice for us to get outside.

I want one of those big D-shaped locks.
I also need to get rid of the flies down the side path so we can use it to take the bikes to the mudroom.
Most of the cheap U locks are rubbish… junkies use a car jack to pop them open., or some even squirt acid into the lock and wait for it to burn up the insides of the lock. Theres a mini-Kryptonite you can get which can lock the back wheel to the frame, or the frame to a slim pole if you are just stopping for a minute at the shop. Its between $80-110. Might be too much for you but I think it comes with a theft guarentee (they pay you if it gets broken)

These coiled ones, esp the big thick one, are hard to use because they keep wanting to spring back into the coil shape. I like the idea of the wheel clamps.
my coil I had used to be like that, the new ones have to be forced to go into a coil, they naturally want to be flat!
