stroller wheels–: Jogging stroller – what psi to pump the wheels up to?
I just got a used Kool Stride jogging stroller (so no owner’s manual), and it has air valves on the tires. What should the tire pressures be on it? Thanks.
By the way, I read somewhere that the swiveling front wheel on the jogging stroller is unsafe. Why? (mine doesn’t have a swiveling front wheel, but just wondering).

It could be anywhere from 4 psi to 70 psi depending on what the side of the tire says. look closely for a tire pressure on the side wall of the tir or the rim. if not found there, just inflate the tire till it feels firm but not hard as a rock.

There should be a set of numbers on the side of the tire telling you the safe range of air pressure.
It will vary depending no the weight of your stroller and cargo.
The tire should be firm so you have control and the tires don’t move from side to side, but not so hard that the tires don’t give at all.
The important thing to remember is not to let go off the handle.
That may seem simple but I have seen parents pushing the stroller ahead of themselves and then running to catch it, so that it was rolling for a long distance without someone gripping the handles and it was a good 10 feet in front of them.

Look on the side of the tire. It should say something like 35 PSI. That is the number you will fill your tire to. It’s not critical that it is exactly that number. As long as it’s close you’ll be ok.

I have been getting a lot of baby items from craigslist.com. You can search for one right in your area. If you are not familiar, its like the classifieds, but free so there are a lot of ads. Btw, I have no idea where Kerala is unless you are talking about India, in which case I have no idea.
