Question: What is the average time to get Green Card for parents of a US citizen?

Additionally I only work part time, can I get a sibling or spouse to give an affidavit of support besides my affidavit.one is a green card holder and another is a US citizen. Many thanks for your help.

Remember you sign the affidavit of support which can be onerous
particularly if they are aged …no medicare for them ..down to you

When the child is 21 they can apply for their parents.
Average time is around 10 yrs, give or take.
If you do not make enough money, you can use a co-sponsor. They do not have to be a relative, but they do need to meet the income guidelines.

It is not 10 years as mentioned above. The first response is correct, up to a year. Since you’re a US citizen and they are classified as immediate relatives, a visa number is available immediately – no wait time. Yes, you can use a co-sponsor to meet the income requirements.
