I mean, many people don’t care it seems when an uneducated woman drinks while she is pregnant, because as the saying goes, “She’s on her own.” But is she really on her own, or can people help to educate her for free, out of the kindness of their hearts, and tell her that alcohol causes something to happen to her newborn child? What is it that a child can get if the mother drinks alcohol, while she is pregnant with the child? The baby has a chance of getting THIS by 60%, if the mother drinks alcohol while she’s pregnant with him or her.

Baby can get fetal alcohol syndrome, but besides that many of these children grow up with emotional, mental, and behavioral problems. I should now, I work with many of these children and hear the parents tell me how they drank during pregnancy. It’s very sad….

You can certainly try to educate a woman who’s throwing back drinks while pregnant, but my guess is she’ll tell you to shove it. For the most part, women are well aware of the risks of drinking while pregnant, so if they ARE drinking, chances are they don’t care.
However, if you’re set on doing this, you can always cite stats about fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) or other such things from medical authorities or sites such as WebMD.

There is a chance the baby can get fetal alcohol poisoning. A study also came out yesterday saying there is a higher possibility for the child to get Leukemia.

as many others have said your child is at risk for fetal alcohol syndrome. my mother in law adopted a child like this . he has learning disabilities , emotional problems , he is now about to be 5 and is just learning it talk . its a very sad thing to see and to know the mother could have prevented it but insted she did it and then placed the kid up for adoption not even caring
