If you have left over mashed potatoes and stuffing you mix them together, form them into patties and fry them in a frying pan. They are super good!!!!

There is also turkey soup. Just be sure to get all the little bones out and always double check your babies food before you give it to her.

Question–: Quick and healthy toddler meals?
Does anyone have some suggestions for meals for a 13 month old? She cannot yet eat things like carrot sticks, celery, etc. I feed her things like fresh (soft) fruit, cooked vegetables, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, turkey sandwiches, and scrambled eggs. I feel like she is always eating the same things. I would like to prepare something for her that the babysitter can feed her during the day. I am not a very good cook. Any suggestions?

my daughter liked mac and cheese, yogurt, ravioli’s, and pizza rolls( but she had just enough teeth to get the end off and suck out the middle)..cereal is always a good choice too esp honey combs or fruit loops

You could boil the carrots. You could also bake or boil chicken. If you want it to be quick, they sell boneless chicken in a can (tyson brand i think) then you can just put it in the skillet, season (for a 13 month old, bland is fine, just use some salt and pepper or some seasoned salt or mrs dash.), and cook until brown. Shouldn’t take more than 7 or so minutes at the most since the chicken is already cooked when you buy it that way. Or if you are against canned food, you can buy some boneless breasts and cook it at night and chop it into pieces for the babysitter to just microwave for lunch. You could go for chicken fingers or nuggets if you feel she is ready. Very kid-friendly.

Maybe you could try mini-ravioli? very quick if you buy in a can or from the frozen food aisle. Frozen- Just boil and serve, they are usually cooked all the way. Canned- put in a bowl and microwave. I prefer the frozen because there is no sauce and my kids didn’t like sauce.

There are also those gerber meals. They have things like beef and potatoes to microwave or pasta bites. It’s so hard to remember everything, but i hope i helped.

Turkey meatballs or meatloaf are a favorite with my kids, they were eating it at 13 months. I usually finely grate a carrot and mix it in with the meat to sneak some veggies in.

My 11 month old niece lives with me and my husband most of the time. She eats only solids during the day, and still 2 bottles morning and evening.

We feed her a mix of almost anything but I do try to make sure she has plenty of veggies (2 servings minimum), at least 1-2 fruit servings a day (a serving being the size of her hand, she can’t eat a lot), some type of whole wheat pasta or bread, and protein (whether from eggs, soy/cows milk, lean meat, or beans).

An example of a few easy meals:

Brown rice, chopped veggies cooked if necessary (tomato, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, avocado, etc) diced chicken, sometimes some egg. This is a typical breakfast for my husband so it’s what she will get as well with a cup of milk.

Most any frozen veggie, fruit, or beans. Veggies and beans get quick steamed, and fruits partially frozen. Fresh veggies are great too if that is what you cook for dinner that day. The bags are convenient though.

Any leftovers from the night before is pretty quick too.
