Question–: How do you put a 6 week old in a stroller?
Do you have to use the carrier that attaches to the stroller or can you strap them directly into the stroller?

You should use the car seat unless you have a five point harness and a full recline. Then you can just recline the stroller all the way back before you put them in. If yours doesnt recline fully i would use the car seat.

I would suggest to use the carrier as unless the stroller reclines there is no neck support for the little one and the straps would cut into their neck

Most people just use the carrier because it’s convenient for transporting the baby to and from the car but it’s fine to just strap them into the stroller without it. Just make sure the straps are fit well and you have the baby reclined.

well, you are supposed to use the carrier, but I’ve just strapped my 6 week old directly in if we are just going for a walk around the block. My stroller reclines, not flat, but enough, and he is strapped in secure with a 5 pt harness. He is also 11 lbs + with some head control, so I think it also depends on the baby. A six wk old preemie for example would probably not be the best idea to skip the carrier.

stroller straps–: How do you manage the stroller and carseat and toddler?
Going to FL in a week. My daughter will have her own seat on the plane and I am planning to bring the carseat. How do I manage it all? I also want to take her lightweight stroller. I’m thinking of strapping her carseat to the rolling carryon and then pushing the stroller to the gate check. Any advice?

Carry the carseat with your baby in it and hold your toddler’s hand or use a backpack harness on her.
OR
Wear your baby and push your toddler in the stroller with one hand while dragging the carry-on/carseat combo with the other.
Strapping the carseat to the rolling suitcase sounds like an incredibly unstable thing to do with the baby in it, in case that was your plan.

Easiest way to travel alone with children is put the baby in a sling and have the toddler walk with one of those backpack leashes so your hands are free to take care of the stuff.

For the stroller you can push it or buy a gate check bag for (see Sources).
If your daughter has her own seat I’ll guess she’s not in an infant carrier, but a convertible or booster seat. They make rolling bags for these for .
You can also buy a dolly (Gogo Kidz Travelmate) which the seat hooks to, and can also be used as a stroller for your child, these are about . The dolly only weighs 5 lbs and folds pretty small.
You can find these products at various stores, I just used different websites to not show any partiality.

Go in for a good light weight baby stroller. That’s the best thing to do. You can manage moving around and carrying it. Some strollers are made to fit in accurately into the car seat and can be used easily in an aircraft as well. The light weight baby strollers are even foldable with one hand.
