carrots with littlee faces!

Frozen seedless grapes

Banana chunks on a stick rolled in a little chocolate or peanut butter and crushed Cheerios

carrot sticks

Make your own gelatin squares using Gelatin and baby fruit juice rather than store bought jello. You control the sugar and baby fruit juice is better than artificial flavorings.

Make your own chicken fingers by using either boneless chicken breasts and baking them instead of frying. You can also make your own honey mustard sauce. Or a type of ranch dressing with yogurt instead of sour cream.

Frozen french fries can be cooked in a very hot oven. Instead of a flat pan, use one of those wire racks raised over the pan. This way the hot air can surround the fries and make them extra crispy without frying.

Any type of fruit cut up and served on a stick is fun. Or instead of sticks, use a piece of celery. You’ll have to make the hole first.

If all the kids are toddlers, they won’t care if the food looks scary or not.

If you have older kids, I got some english muffins, some canned spaghetti sauce. I put out some chopped pepperoni, cheese and small amounts of other pizza fixins and let them assemble their own mini pizzas. I put them in the oven and took them out. The kids loved it. All of them went home happy because they cooked something.

I also made a dessert called “dirt”. I took some new tiny plastic flower pots. I got them from the dollar store. Washed them real well, put a dollop of vanilla pudding in the bottom, then crushed oreos, then chocolate pudding and more crushed oreos on top. I then put a few gummy worms into each pot so the worms stuck out over the rim. Get the worms a little crummy with the oreos so it looks like they are crawling out. The kids and adults loved this one. Make them small, this is rich.

Making your child be a vegitarian should be considered child abuse. Hippies arent fit for parenthood, If you really loved them you would give your kids up for adoption.

one of my favorite sites is vegan lunch box. it’s a blog by a mom who makes her child stuff for his lunch box…….she has recipes and really creative ideas and suggestions. read her archives!

oh my WORD i just read some of the other posts…..do ya’ll know ANYTHING about science??? ever seen a cow w/tiny muscles and bad bones????? no????? good grief!!! are you aware our magnificent bodies break down the meat proteins into amino acids and then put those back together again into a protein that is better used by our bodies? are you aware you can get those amino acids from loooooots of places, including fruits/veggies/nuts/seeds??? the meat industry and the milk industry do a great job w/all their money brainwashing ppl……wtg ya’ll!!!

Answer by x_siobhan_x
Young children need the protein in meat in order to grow properly. You being a vegetarian is your choice, but forcing your child to be one isn’t fair, especially since children need the susbstances in meat to have a healthy balanced diet.

  1. Punch your kids in the stomach for lunch. Its good for you.

  2. pb&j. celery and peanut butter. carrots and healthy dressings. cheese. an apple. grapes. cheerios.

  3. Stuff I liked when v. small:

A weird thing with a slice of wholegrain bread rolled flat, covered with cheese spread, covered with alfalfa sprouts, rolled jellyroll-style. I used to beg for that somewhat ridiculous-sounding ‘treat.’ You can take a sharp knife and cut it into little round slices, too.

    Apple and cheddar slices.

    Dried fruit.

    Granola w/yoghourt.

    “Peanut butter balls”-type no-bake cookies.

A sliced banana topped with toasted wheat germ and milk.

Cold noodles — egg, rice vermicelli, soba.

  4. Cuthbert J. Twillie

Kappa-maki or rice balls with some carrot sticks and a piece of fruit.
