Question–: Tips on parenting twins?
I’m pregnant with twins and was wondering if there were any parenting tips you could provide that particularly pertain to twins. Thank you.

I’m 58 and have a 41 yr old and 36 yr old twins. I was 17 when the oldest was born and 21 when the twins were born. The first tip, you WILL survive, I promise. Try your best to keep them on the same feeding schedule, the first two months, one was taking a bottle every hr instead of both every 2-3 hrs, it was a nightmare, but I finally remedied that. It was easier to sit on the floor and feed them both at the same time, one on each side of my lap with my knees crossed. Don’t try going grocery shopping, no room for the groceries. And remember, even though they are twins, they will have two separate personalities. It was hard, it was fun and I wouldn’t trade it again for any amount of money. Congrats!

I’m not a parent of twins but i am a twin and the main pieces of advice my mom gives people when they ask her this question is to try and get the twins on the same feeding and sleeping schedule when they are little to make things easier on yourself and to treat them like individuals as they are growing up and don’t always lump them as twins.

I’m just getting out of collage and I am pregnant. I think that you should just relax, don’t do as much active things as you would usually do. Go swimming and do that baby thing that women do when they’re pregnant. It is actually really relaxing.

From the Division of Science and Mathematics graduation reception in the Science Atrium.

Today was the 2009 graduation ceremony at the University of Minnesota, Morris. These photos are from the Division of Science and Mathematics reception for graduating science and math students and their families. This included the Computer Science graduates, so there is a bit of a bias in that direction here.

Part of this reception is group photos on the staircase for each major. I took photos of the first two (Biology and Chemistry), but then after Computer Science the faculty ended up doing photos with each graduating CSci student and I missed the rest of the big group photo ops.

Students, families, and UMM folks are totally welcome to use these however they see fit. You’re welcome to leave a tip in the jar if you find them useful, however :-) .
