My 3 yr old daughter won’t stay still long enough to eat anything. Any ideas on healthy foods she can carry around with her?

Apple slices (peeled), graham crackers, otherwise I bought one of those cheerios containers…and filled it with gold fish crackers. That way she can open it whenever she wants to “go fishing”….lol.
Good luck.
Answer by Smalls
Try granola bars or put things like fruit, crackers or cheese in a plastic baggie for her to carry around with her.
Answer by KaraMae
My son loves carrots and celery! Also if you cut up a fruit salad. You can also try pretzels, raisons, dried fruit, cheerios (my son still loves them). Pretty much anything thats healthy and easy enough to clean up! Good luck!

you can give her these cookies from graduates, also you can give her small slices of apple(without the skin) or peices of banana. one other thing that my sister does to make her kid eat healthy is but an egg or babyfood in pankake mix and make pankakes out of it, they love it!gooodluck!

Have you ever heard of go-gurt? If not, they are located in the dairy/ yogurt section of the grocery store. You can stick them in the freezer, and when you want to give her one, just give it to her like a popsicle. It is way less messy than giving her the thawed version, it is healthy, and it tastes good. She’ll think she’s having a special treat.
You could buy the frozen “Super Pretzels” in the freezer section of the grocery store. Just nuke them in the microwave, and let her hold on to it (warm, not hot of course). They are way less crumby than regular snack pretzels, and it will prevent her from spilling the entire bowl while playing. She can hold her meal in one hand and play with the other.
Other healthy kid snacks include goldfish crackers, fruit snacks, fruit/cereal bars, raisins, and any kind of diced fruit (i.e. watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, etc. – although they are a bit messy for a toddler who is running around).
I’ll let you know if I think of any other ideas

Believe it or not my 2 yr old likes those mini rice cakes.
Try that, you can even add peanut butter.
Answer by avonmom
put a small table or step stool in the room she is in most of the day so she has a place to park her plate. Lunchables makes a jr version. it has stuff like mini crackers, strips of cheese, and diced up meat, or chicken strips. it is really realistic portion sizes for toddlers. I also got a snack container and put multigrain cheerios, raisins, mini cheese crackers all mixed up in it. it was like a healthy toddler trail mix. I didn’t have to feel guilty about how much he ate. or what about lunchmeat or chicken (or egg or ham) salad in a mini pita pocket?my son rarely sits still to eat. I park his plate on a lap tray on the floor of the livingroom. it may take 30-45 minutes but he usually finishes.

Answer by Kristin
Of course your son is always hungry! He should have been eating baby food since he was 6 months old, three times a day.
Cereals, fruits, meats, veggies. He should be transitioning to toddler food now. (Third Foods if we’re talking baby food you bay at the grocery store)
Email me and we’ll talk. I have an 11 month old, too and it sounds like you need some guidance.
This is how it should go, but since he does not have much eating “experience” I suggest taking it slowly and not skipping any of these steps even though he is older.
“Baby Food Stages and Steps
Foods that you might first start your 4-6 month old baby on include:
Beech-Nut Naturals Stage 1
Earth’s Best 1st Beginner Foods
Gerber 1st Foods
Heinz Step 1 Beginner Foods
These include single ingredient foods, like rice cereal, and pureed fruits and vegetables.
Next, when your baby is 7-8 months old, he can eat ‘2′ baby foods, which include single ingredient and combination foods that are strained, instead or being pureed.
Examples include Beech-Nut Naturals Stage 2 Apples & Bananas, Gerber 2nd Foods Garden Vegetables, Heinz Strained Vegetables, and Earth’s Best Corn and Butternut Squash.
When your baby is 9-12 months old, he should be ready for ‘3′ baby foods. These foods have more texture and small chunks to encourage chewing. Examples of ‘3′ foods include Beech-Nut Naturals Stage 3 Chicken Lasagna, Gerber 3rd Foods Broccoli & Carrots with Cheese, Heinz Vegetables Beef & Spaghetti (Junior Foods), and Earth’s Best Chunky Orchard Fruit (Chunky Blend). These jars of baby food are easy to spot because they are usually bigger than stage 1 and 2 baby foods, since your baby likely has a bigger appetite by the time he is ready for these foods.
Lastly, your baby will progress to ‘4′ foods or table food at the end of his first year or beginning of his second year. At this point, you may be feeding your baby the food that the rest of the family is eating, or you might continue to buy commercially prepared toddler foods. These include Beech-Nut Naturals Table Time Peach Dices In White Grape Juice From Concentrate and Heinz Step 4 Toddler Cuisine Chicken & Stars with Vegetables & Gravy. ”
British*Bird!!!! Raisins are a choking hazard! Never give raisins to a baby.
Answer by schmushe
remember that foods need to be able to be held
apple slices – babies under 1 must not have the peel as it can cause choking
banana
(I do not recommend raisins as they are a choking hazard and are acidic – if you chose to provide them, make sure they are provided with a cup of milk – this helps stop the acidic from raisins causing tooth decay)
cucumber
carrot
kiwi slices
to be honest you can provide hand held finger foods with almost any fruit or veg
Answer by Amie G
Cherrios, goldfish, tiny pasta (pasta used for soup) Grilled cheese (cut up in small pieces), crackers. I would feed him solid food, (reg food) Chicken tenders (cut up small) Anything you eat but cut up in small pieces. Peas, corn. He can eat anything and everything at this age. Just remember to cut up his food small!
Answer by ADD
At ll months your little on should be eating food. He is probably not satisfied at all. Feed him cereal every morning and then lunch and supper. Go to the Gerber web site for great feeding advice and safety tips.
Answer by Peppermint Patti
Gerber gradates foods.
Answer by POPgoesmyheart
I cut cheese into little blocks and instead of using a toothpick I stick a pretzel in the center and my daughter loves to hold it and eat both parts. Cheese with pretzels taste very good.
