Question–: can puppies drink human baby formula milk?
is it okay to feed a newborn puppy milk from baby formula? like if it’s the runt and the other puppies wont let it drink it’s mother’s milk, is it okay to feed it baby formula milk so that it won’t starve and die?
i know it needs actual dog formula milk, but all we have right now is baby formula milk so i just want to know if it will do for now, or if it will make him die. they were just born today.

No, it lacks special vitamins and proteins specifically designed for growing puppies.
Get Puppy Milk Replacer. There are a few different kinds, but they are all better than human baby formula.
If you do not have Puppy Milk Replacer, and can *only* use Cow’s Milk at this time, please substitute other ingredients as to provide adequate nutrition for the pup until you can get some Milk Replacer.

You can find all of these ingredients at your Supermarket. If not, just look for Evaporated Milk. It’s less diluted than fresh cows milk, and will less likely cause Diarrhea.

If you really have a tiny puppy, you should consult your vet and get a special formula for puppies- human formula is NOT formulated for puppies- and can actually make your puppy sicker.

yes, human formula milk is still cow’s milk. not as fatty as regular milk but still will do.

no you can’t give them baby formula if he needs to be supplemented use puppy formula. what I would do if the mom has plenty of milk just remove the other puppies and put him on the tit sitting with him to make sure he is feeding do this every 2 hours till he gets strong enough.

You can give it to them but it’s not nutritious and you’ll be hurting the dog in the long run. Dogs and humans need different nutrients. Puppies need extra on top of that because they are growing and developing. You should be able to find milk supplements for puppies (kittens, birds…etc…too!) at the local pet store. If you can’t, call your vet or look it up online. Maybe some of the area’s feed stores have some.
Edit: yes, if that is all you have on hand, then give it to the puppy. It’s better than nothing. It may possibly give him diarrhea, though so watch for that.

Yes it is very healthy and i remember back when i was 12-18 i would be drinking closer to 14 cups of it. It is very healthy because baby formula milk contains many proteins, antibodies, and nutrients to help ur defense system and keep puberty at bay this way u can be a great choir singer and not have to get castrated.

Is this really true? Is she allergic to cows milk? You could try to go to another,cheaper source, like soy! Anything in excess is generally not a good idea. I’d consider making sure the child gets a good balanced diet, aside from formula!

I don’t know if it is healthy but she really needs to drink milk and the formula wouldn’t give you everything she needs. Babies dink a lot of formula and they are small. I hop your daughter is eating a normal healthy food.

I dont see why it would be unhealthy, it has lots of vitamins and minerals that are good for babies, why not a teenager. It will just be more expensive than regular milk.

That stuff tastes nasty! But no, it can’t do her any harm. At least you know she’s getting her daily dose of vitamins and minerals. That is kind of weird though…
