Watch for irritability, sudden diaper rash, particularly redness around the anus; swelling of the face, a rash or redness on the face or stomach (or anywhere the food may have touched), and green, mucousy stools, possibly with a little bit of blood. If you notice any of these signs, stop giving the food and see if the symptoms stop. If they don’t it may have been something You ate (if you breastfeed.)

My son had a reaction to a blueberry dessert baby food. I can’t remember the name of it now, it’s been 16 yrs. But he couldn’t eat blueberries. He eventually grew out of it. Odd I know.

To know if your baby has an allergy be sure to do 1 food at a time for 4 days. If he doesnt have a reaction then that food passes the test. Once a food passes the test then you can use it anytime even when you are testing another food. Never try two new foods at the same time, because then you wont know which caused the reaction.

My first son was allergic to any of the orange ( carrots, squash) colored baby food vegetables and now our second son is allergic to the green colored ( green beans, peas) ones. They have both been allergic to milk and have both outgrown it.
