I would always look at license plates with my kids as we were driving in the car. If they were numbers and letters, we would make up words with the letters and add the numbers. Some of the phases we came up with would be funny, and it was always fun for the kids. I would also make kitchen projects into learning projects. We would always count crackers in a package, if I had more than one kid with me, I would have the kids separate them so every one got an equal amount. (if there were six crackers, and two kids, they would get three crackers a piece.) The kids always found it fun to separate things into equal amounts. Reading to the kids was always something they enjoyed. I would find books that were on their level, or a little above their level and read them to them every day after snack time. It was a treat to get back to the book that we put down yesterday, they used to look forward to it. Just make simple projects that you do every day into learning projects, read the words, and count the numbers, better yet, count everything, from blocks to the holes in their shoes, and your kids will grow up to be ahead of their class even when they start preschool, not only will they be the head of their class, they will always love to learn because it is fun.
