literacy in the classroom|Which one do you prefer (a test to see where you stand)?
Welcome to my blog,In the blog: healthy baby food or Newborn Baby Clothes.
The following are not relevant to the content of some literacy in the classroom, but classicFriendship is like earthenware: once broken, it can be mended; love is like a mirror: once broken, that ends it. (Josh Billings. American humorist)”Your future depends on your dreams.” So go to sleep. Choose an author as you choose a friend..Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.。!!about literacy in the classroom tips :It’s very easy to get sucked into the constant advertising of baby powders, creams, and lotions. But the best baby lotion is plain old olive oil—cheap, natural, and un-perfumed. As for other products, keep it as natural, organic, and fragrance-free as possible.
Q&A–: Which one do you prefer (a test to see where you stand)?
I thought this was interesting, so I pose this question to you all!
Which one do you favor?
A
-Each person is responsible for his or her own place in society
-Government should enable each person the ability to secure the benefits of society for themselves, their families and for those who are unable to care for themselves.
-Limit the intervention of government as a catalyst of individual prosperity
-Government should only intervene in specific cases where society cannot effectively act at the individual level
-Individual destiny should be in the individual’s hands, governmental power and resources should be kept close to the people, through their state and community leaders, and not centralized in distant federal government agencies.
-Government should help stimulate a business environment where people are free to use their talents.
-Cut government spending and to eliminate government waste.
-Individuals should control both their own and their government’s pocketbook – the
people should authorize all tax increases.
-Schools should be held accountable for student progress through testing, which can be used to identify individual children’s’ needs. These reports, at both the student and school
level, should be provided to the parents to ensure accountability.
B
-It is the responsibility of government to care for all individuals, even if it means
giving up some individual rights and/or subordinating enterprise and initiative.
-Centralization of power in Washington D.C., with only secondary consideration for the rights of both individuals and communities (i.e. – local/state government).
-The economy is too complicated for individuals to navigate alone. They believe that business decisions should be guided by government officials and in the best interest of labor unions.
-Government knows what is best for individuals
-Federal bureaucrats better understand the needs of a community than a locally elected council and the federal government should define the tax burden necessary to meet its obligations, because this is too complicated for individuals to understand.
-Tests burden teachers and waste classroom instruction time.
-Literacy should be left for unions to define rather than local PTAs or other parent groups.

A, minus the helping stimulate business. The government shouldn’t do anything, except prevent disasters.
Unfortunately someone got it right. Neither party really does A… Republican pretend to do A while doing something else. Democrats don’t even pretend to do A.
Btw, you’re extremely biased presentation makes it inevitable that people choose A. You have to present both options as desirable to ACTUALLY test people’s opinion. You chose the word “burden” for testing. So yeah… if you make a biased test, you’re going to get the answers you want to see. That’s how polls work! lol

literacy in the classroom–: Does anyone know of any literacy centers that would be good for advanced learners in grades K-5?
When I say “centers,” I’m referring to activities/games. Centers are learning stations set up around the classroom.
The following is the answer: (Hint: The correct answer provided by the users, does not guarantee the right.)
Answer by 1st grade teach
I did my masters on using centers in the classroom. If you want, I will email you my list of center ideas for K and 1st grade. They can be adapted for a lot of grade levels. I have ideas for individual activities as well as group activities. Here are a few ideas:
Sight word oh no–program index cards (or type on computer) with sight words kids need to know as well as a few cards that say Oh No!. Have the kids put the cards down in a pile in the middle and take turns turning over. Read the card and keep the words, but when you get oh no, you put all your cards back.
Write words, letters, numbers or pictures of blends, vowels, etc. on the bottom of rubber duckies (I got mine from Oriental Trading.) Float them in a tub of water and have the kids put them in the appropriate pond. I used blue frisbees. I did some vowel ones where I drew pictures like cat, hat, bee, ice cream, etc and they sorted according to vowels.
I also have used ping pong balls and wrote letters on them. I float them in a tub and I use them for word families with egg cartons. I cut egg carton pieces so that there are 3 egg cups together. I write “at” on the last 2 pieces and they fish balls out of the water and put them in the first cup to make a word.
I have a ton listed–I typed up my notes about each center to use for my action research paper, but I think they will make sense to other people. If you want, email me–stacysmb@yahoo.com and I will send it as an attachment.

Casualties of the need for more space and years of non-use, these dinosaur dictionaries are now an extinct sub species in my classroom. (I saved one of each for our Book Museum).
