Question: Is there any way around trying to go Green to gold as a single parent?
I will be a single parent in the Army, but I would like to go Green to Gold, but I see that one of the limitations is you cannot be a single parent. Someone else told me I still can it would just take longer. I have a family care plan in case of deployment or anything, so would that not count?

Leaving your kid behind with someone else will make the child attached to that person, not you, my suggestion is staying with your child, joining the army is intense on a child, the fact that you can die.
Maybe do some tech army stuff, something that doesn’t take you far away from your child.

My understanding was that a single parent couldn’t even JOIN the Army. No waivers on the green to gold though.
