WAY TOO EARLY!!! Talk to your pediatrician. He may let you start on a little rice cereal but the chance of an allergy arising increases the earlier you start. Talk to the doc.

packet food tells you to feed before medical experts recommend cos then they get more money out of you for the extra few months.
Although some babies sleep through the night they may still need the extra milk to get them through - many mums wake their babies for a late feed. How much does she have for her last feed - maybe you need to give her more or make sure she takes whole feed and does not fall asleep.
2 1/2 months really is too early for food whatever others say - her digestive system is very immature and she can get all the nutirents she needs from her milk.
Please do not add anything to her milk like some will suggest - your priority needs to be to get her to drink extra milk.

No, it's not even okay to give them to her at 4 months. The AAP recommends starting solids at 6 months to reduce the risks of allergies, diabetes, and obesity. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/readyfo…
Why would you trust whoever is selling the food to know what's good for your baby? They want your money as soon as possible.
Talk to your doctor about what's going on, don't just stuff her with less nutritious foods- breastmilk or formula will be better for her than solids. She's very young, and still needs to eat often. Perhaps you need to add another feeding during the night.
