Is Anybody Else Getting Their Infant An Easter Basket?

20 January 2010

We totally did, filled it with nuks, teethers, clothes and baby food. Are we nuts? :-P

A:               Last year my older son was 6 months, and we got him pacifiers, balls, and a stuffed snoopy. Now, he’s 19 months and getting a book, some gerber gummies instead of candy, and the tablets that color the bath water. Our younger one is going to be 7 months also and he’s getting pacifiers, the Peter Rabbit movie, and a little machine that blows bubbles while they’re taking a bath. I saw it as a good opportunity to splurge on things that I had wanted (needed in the case of pacifiers -can never have too many of those), but just hadn’t

A:               We went out today and bought a little Easter basket and a bunch of stuffed animals, a photo album and an interactive book to put in the basket. We also got her a stuffed bunny that says Easter 2009 on the foot. We went all out today lol.
And she’ll be 6.5 months for Easter this year

A:                 I think that’s a really good idea my son is five months and I got him a bunch of stuffed bunnies and duckies and plastic eggs but now I may go out and make him a basket like that.thanks for the idea

A:              Of course she is, even though she’s only 6 months old. We got her a Hello Kitty basket and filled it with clothes, rattles, her first pair of jean shorts, a jittery stroller toy, spoons, and some easter themed rubber duckies.
I get her something for every holiday and make a photo card for all our friends and family. She may not remember any of these things, but at least she’ll have the pictures and hopefully one day appreciate all the little things we did for her at this age.

A:             Aww. That’s sweet. I should do that for my almost 4 month old. He might not remember it, but he’ll see lots of pictures!
I bought pre made baskets for both of my 3 year old nephews and 16 month old 2nd cousin. My husband thinks it’s silly to give the little ones baskets. He says they won’t remember, but it’s fun, and they love the toys and candy. And my baby will love the rattles and teethers and things!

A:             Yes , Im making my 4 month old her easter basket. I put clothes ,a big stuffed easter bunny ,bubbles and little toys in it

A:                Oh that’s so sweet =)
To answer your question, no I’m not getting my daughter an Easter basket. Nor did I go overboard at Christmas. I got her one keepsake gift and that’s it.
I’m going to go all out when it actually means something to her, for now I will just get her ‘gifts’ for their sentimental value =]

A:             My baby is 8 months and no I am not making him an Easter basket. His 2 1/2 year old sister is getting one. So he can share with her. I personality don’t start buying stuff for holidays for my babies until there 1 years or over. But there is nothing wrong with it if you want to do it.

A:                  Your not nuts at all!! My daughter is 9 months old and we bought her a basket, a stuffed bunny, a little bunny ear headband and eggs that I am going to fill with marshmallows. I also bought her this huge marshmallow sucker…all from the dollar tree!! Spent 8 bucks and everything is super cute!! It wouldnt matter what age she was she still would have got an easter basket!! Cant wait to let her rip into all of it!!

A:                I want to. My dad got her one that had Gerber snacks in it and a cute duck toy that laughs lol We call him Sped heheh.
I’m not sure what to get for her since she is pretty well set on biter biscuits and wagon wheels. We will definitely find her a new toy. I might find her a cute outfit for spring and some girly things. It won’t be anything too big. My hubby and I have a birthday this month so we are trying to plan a day out for ourselves. Gotta save a little. I know, selfish :
BTW Jaiden will be 9 months Thursday!

A:                 We did! Filled it with a little outfit for summer, a sun hat, sunglasses, small rattles, and a stuffed duck! lol. If you’re nuts, so are we! haha. She’s 4.5 months old btw.

A:                 No, my 2 year old is getting one, but we are more into making memories that they will remember or at least enjoy more. It seems like us to do that, it’s not for her, it’s more for us. But we are doing an easter egg hunt for daughter in our house, so when she wakes up she can go find the easter eggs

A:                Not a bit. We bought our sweetheart stuff for every holiday and plan on doing it on the rest of our kids!
Have a wonderful Easter! God bless!

A:                   He’s 8 months and NO, what would he do with it! I don’t think you’re nuts, each to their own, but in my opinion it’s more for the parents at that age than for the baby.
