its not the brand of milk! most babies are sick when they burp after a feeding!!! there sinht a set amount they drink however much they need until they are full!!!

Answer by helping you out
about 4ounces, also you might want to try soy formula it brakes down easier in there stomachs and causes less spitting up

Answer by My baby loves Cake~*
One of answer says try soy formula. Answer to that is WRONG!!!!! Do not change formula out of random what so ever. It will make her sick. ( trust me Ive been there) always seek doctors advice before changing formula.

Its called spit ups. My daughter was the same for awhile. Some babies have it mild and some babies just spit up alot more. my daughter stopped spitting up as much until she was able to burp herself. Which I think it was around 6 months.

If amount of spit up concerns you try taking break every ounce of formula. Feed her ounce and burp her and feed again and repeat.

good luck =)

It could be acid reflux or it could be she is full. If she does it every or almost every feeding it could be acid reflux. Is she pushing the nipple out? Turning her dead? If so she could be full. Don’t worry about the number of ozs let her eat until she is full.

Do not change her formula, try and feed her slowly. Feed a small amount with breaks to burp her. Also, My son was spitting up as well, ALOT! I gave my son cold or room temperature milk instead of warming it up, he never spit up after that. People say not to give the baby cold milk because it causes gas, but my son never had gas. Maybe little toots but no tummy aches.

if it’s just spit up that is normal but if its vomit that is another thing. My son started vomiting up his milk and we kept changing formula until the doctor said he has gax reflux (common) and now he takes meds that the doctor prescibes to stop him from vomiting up his formula and it surely does make a difference.

All babies spit up but you could try to switch to a different formula and see if that helps. We started our daughter on similac when I quit breastfeeding and she spit it up all the time. After trying several different kinds we ended up switching her to Bright Beginnings and she stopped spitting up as much.

I would give about 3-4 ounces . And burp her in between. You’ll know when she is full.

Question–: Why don’t milk banks make donated breast milk more affordable like infant formula?
Breast milk is best according to the AAP, medical professionals, and the manufacturers of infant formula. I’ve done some extensive research on milk banks, and I’m atonished at how much donated breast milk costs. If you want to give your child the ‘best’ you would have to take out a loan to pay for it. Why can’t don’t milk banks make donated breast milk affordable like infant formula? Please no rude or hateful answers, thank you.

It’s all a matter of supply and demand. Many people want it, but there isn’t much available for sale. That means it pretty much goes to those who are willing to pay the most for it – driving the price way up.

It’s the same reason why diamonds are expensive – because they’re rare.

Formula is easy to produce in bulk, which decreases the cost. Because breastmilk can’t be produced synthetically, and humans can’t be bred for maximum production like cows, it’s a precious resource. I know w/ my 8 mo old, there isn’t any extra for me to even pump and store for my own LO (believe me, I’ve tried to increase my flow, piggyback pumping, etc and it’s just not working for me), let alone producing enough to donate.

Supply and Demand!!!! Not many mothers can or are willing to donate there milk, they need it for there babies. AND..I have been a SAHM for 7 years, I know alot of mothers with alot of children..in school and home schooled. I “think” i am well rounded in knowing alot of different “types” of canditates for this and…I have NEVER heard of milk banks. So..that could be why also, it isn’t a well known thing.

I breastfed both my children and didn’t have any to spare and when I was “done” I didn’t have the time to keep pumping. The women who would choose to do this would be busy with not much time so that will make the women donating VERY few..the banks need to make money and make a profit so…it would have to cost ALOT to get some. The rental space, electricity bills, insurance must be very high..the milk should or will have to be tested…what if a drug addict or alchoholic or a women on perscription drugs NEEDED money and donated. I don’t want my baby getting there milk!
Not to be rude…I know BF is best but I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving my baby donated breastmilk. but that is me.

Answer by OH NO
You don’t always have to pay for breast milk, There are milksharing networks that allows you to connect with moms with supply to share.

In addition to what others said, the transport, storage, and shelf life of breast milk would make it more expensive.
