Well maybe u should start him off slow,,my son is 5 months and the only thing I give him is baby cereal, and formula,,usually with the cereal it fills him up,,so he wont eat frequently,,but If Ur son has a allergy reaction u wont know which hes allergic to due to too many different jars of food.,and could result to him being constipated

Answer by kh2ff7
well looks like ur doing good just not so much jar food only when he really gets hungry

Answer by robin w
that’s about right..In the near future he may be needing more jarred food..And less formula. you may also want to introduce a sippy sup with formula at meals. Get one with handles makes it easier for him to use…Makes it easier for weaning time when he can use a sippy…

jar food? well, its better to prepare the meal by yourself, from organic products. you can refrigerate it for 48 hours, so you wont have to cook everyday. avoid beans, spinach, and insist on broccoli, carrots.
the program for the bottle milk is made only by the pediatrician. and i know that from the 6th-7th month you can start the yogurts for babies.

Question–: Feeding schedule for a 1 year old?
My daughter is turning 1 this week and I just wanted to get an idea of a good feeding schedule for her. Up until now, I have been feeding her baby food jars of fruits and veggies, infant oatmeal and yogurt, as well as approximately 24 ounces of formula daily. I will be sarting her on whole milk, gradually, at the end of the week. Any good ideas????

With my girls I would just start giving them what I was having just cut it up for them, but you have to be careful, if you mash their food for too long you may have problems getting her to eat certain foods with different textures. I had this problem with my first. And for the formula, you should start by mixing it with the milk for a few days and if she is alright and is keeping it down well then you can start with the milk. All in all every child is different, if you have trouble you can always ask your doctor or Nestle has a great guide on their website.

Hinestly from now I would put her on a strict Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner meal time. With 2 small snacks in between Breakfast and Lunch, then Lunch and Dinner. If you stay consistant with this, chances are you will have a good eater.

my nephew just turned 1 on Thursday and this is his eating schedule

6 am 4 oz bottle of milk
8 am oatmeal and 1/3 cup of applesauce
10 am 6 oz of milk (he naps after this until 11am)
12 pm lunch soup (usually chicken and noodles) and some cheese chunks and 1/2 a Banana
2 pm 6 oz of milk before nap time
3:30 pm snack (usually soft crackers)
4:30pm 4 oz of milk
5pm dinner is anything soft that family is eating
8 pm 6 to 8 oz of milk then bedtime

He does drink sippy cup of water all day long.

In my culture she would be eating from the family meal about now.
Should still have her water, fruits and baby food if she likes it as well
Every 3-4 hrs is good but your child may have her own peculiarities so be observant and feed her healthy food; don’t forget the veggies

I’m not sure why a one year old is eating anything out of a jar still? She doesn’t need baby food or infant oatmeal.

She should eat breakfast lunch and dinner alongside you! Perhaps a small snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Just mash up what you’re eating. Milk tastes way better than formula, so that transition is an easy one.

We started our daughter on whole milk at about 10 months as well as table food. She is 14mths now and she eats just about whatever we eat unless it is spicy. If we do make something spicy we either give her something different or not put the spicy stuff on her little portion. However, she is not a breakfast eater at all. I’m not sure if this is actually ‘normal’. Her breakfast might consist of 10 cheerios or something but when it comes to lunch and dinner she eats a pretty good meal. She still gets her milk but she takes them out of sippy cups about 4-5 times a day. I have heard of some people who keep their children on the ‘baby’ food until they are 2 yrs, but for us, it was easier for us to start her on table food and she really enjoys feeding herself. It can get a little messy at times, but that is all in the fun of it! Good Luck!
