infant feeding guide–: Title opinions for my project…?
Hello, I’m doing a project for my Parenting and Young Childhood Development class.
We have to create a brochure for pregnant women.
It includes:
Signs
Discomforts
Nutritional Needs
Preparing for parenthood
Breastfeeding vs Bottle Feeding
Birth Choices
and Why its important to stay healthy during pregnancy.
I came up with these titles, which one do you like best?
Preparing for a positive/perfect (just one) pregnancy
A flawless fetus
Your body and the beloved baby
Interpeting the incredible infant
Guide to creating a charming child
and
The transforming tot
I know they sound kinda weird, but thats all i came up with. Opinions?
Or if you have anything better that you don’t mind me using, please let me know.
Thanks.

Your body and the beloved baby.
I like that one. If I read that title it would make me want to read it.

Q&A–: How and when did you introduce cows/goats milk to your infant????
My daughter is 10 months old and both breastfeeds and bottle feeds. I know the guide lines about waiting till 1 year (so no need to repeat that).
Just curious about how you made the transition from breastmilk/formula to whole milk and at what age?
I know that its one year recommended but I was wondering what age did moms personally choose to use cow/goats milk. Some people keep their infants on formula for 18 months and some women give cows milk at 6. Thats all.
My infant isnt turning into a calf but I dont intent to formula feed her till she’s 18 and definatly dont intent to breastfeed her till shes 18 either!
(also I would like to continue to nurse her till she’s older but I work out of the home so I cant meet all her nutritional requirments when Im not around)

I waited until son was one year old
( if you already know its one year why are you asking … at what age)
he was given at that time 2% milk in his bottle
not whole milk

my daughter was lactose intolerant and was still having a night time breast feed at 18mths…
after 12mths just put full cream cows milk in a training cup and try that

Slowly….my youngest, now 18 mo., threw up cow’s milk the first few times I gave it to him. After about a week he was able to keep it down. I continued to nurse him until about 14 mo. gradually reducing breastfeedings down to only at night and then not at all. Good Luck!

I haven’t started this transition with my own baby yet because he is still very young, but my sister just started introducing cow milk to her son, he is 10 months. She still gives him formula (along with some solid foods) but is mixing it up with milk (2%) instead of water. So far it seems to be working well.

As soon as she turned one i dived straight in with the cows milk, i was eager to switch her as i had a 4 wk old too so i was doing two types of formula at the same time. i just gave her 8oz in her bottle and she didnt notice any difference at all, she had the lot. from 6mth she was having cows milk in her breakfast and supper so i suppose that helped

with my niece, we made the transition at one year and she absoulutely loved cows milk, she had no problems with it at all we just put it in her bottle and she immediately took to it.
