Q&A: How to do the citizenship process? and transfer my green card to my parents?
I am a resident permanent about 2 years and a half and i read something on the immigration website when you have family on the military you can do your citizenship before the required time. I would like to know more information about that and how to do it. And i would like to give my parents the green card so they can come to visit me whenever they want. thanks

As to your second question…You can not just give your green card to your parents, they must earn it on their own right. Also, it is NOT a visitor visa for the to come and go as they please. They must move to the US and live here permanently if they want a permanent resident card.

I think it is when yourself is in military, then you can apply citizenship after at least 1 year of active of duty.
Green card is not transferable. It has your name and yours only. If your parents want to come visit you, they can apply for B1/B2 visa.

One cannot “DO” citizenship as you mentioned. There is no such process known as “transferring” green card to parents. If your parents want to get a green card, you must be a US citizen and file the petition with USCIS. The process takes about one year.
