Ignore them if they do darl.. my daughter is nearly 9 months and has three 7 oz bottles a day plus breakfast, lunch and dinner and 1 or 2 snacks a day. I put formula in her breakfasy, and dinner so she gets about 24oz a day, im pretty sure they say between 21 and 28 oz a day is a rough guide!!!

My 7 1/2 month old drinks four bottles a day. He has three that are 5oz and one that is 6oz (the one before bed). A couple weeks ago he was drinking 6 oz for all his bottles but was spitting up A LOT and he never did before so I figured that the formula and the food was too much for him so I decreased his bottles a little bit. Anywhere between 18 and 24 ounces is the recommendation at this age.

don't listen to those idiots...my daughter is extremely lactose intolerant and couldn't have my milk so therefore she was put onto lactose free formula and I had to substitute her "whole milk" with the lactose free formula until she was almost 2 because she could have whole milk or any other milk and gagged when trying to drink soy milk and guess what..my daughter is smart..healthy, active and all around wonderful..I am trying to tell you that there is no cut off..formula is good stuff and you can give it to your baby as you feel like they want it. They will ween themselves from it. My daughter was ADDICTED to it and then on day she just didn't want anymore. That is how I knew she didn't need it anymore :0 I hope this helps :)

4 - 6oz, or pediatrician said that they should be getting no more than 6oz. Remember though that babies will eat as much formula as is put in there bottle, so be careful you don't give her to much.
At 8 months, I might go with 6oz, if she doesn't finish that bottle than go with 4oz next time.
